Golf del Sur
The clue’s in the name – this resort’s big on its golf. It’s a hole in one for scenery too, with its rocky coastline and sweeping sea views. And the sun is always shining in Golf del Sur so you can spend your days al fresco before checking out the great line-up of bars and restaurants when evening falls.
Golf del Sur has hosted various spells of the Tenerife Open, taking swing-perfecting afternoons to the next level. This tournament favourite is a hit with natives and aspiring pros, so pick up some clubs and get set for 27 holes of tricky water obstacles and deep black sand bunkers.
Entertaining evenings
Past swimming pools, tennis courts and bowling greens, you can shop ‘til you drop, and wine and dine in the local bars and eateries. Staying up late and seeing Los Cristianos as dawn draws near might just top it off. The after-dark entertainment will see drinks flow and live music excite.

I was really worried about going after reading the reviews. Lots of negative comments around food etc. We are a family of 6 and grandparents came with us too. The hotel was basic but had everything you needed. Rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily, but the beds were very uncomfortable. Pool area could look untidy at times as it’s a self clean area, it was the guests that left it untidy and of no fault of the staff. Staff were helpful with any issues. Although we had few minor issues they were resolved immediately. Food choice was fine, all the basics nuggets chips and pizza etc for those fussy eaters everyday. We always found something to eat. The restaurant were very busy and had very few high chairs. This was a problem on occasions but it was just a matter of being patients and waiting until tables high chairs became available. 1 thing that did really bother us was the fact we arrived at the hotel at 10pm and even though we was all inclusive there was no food available. Which wasn’t a problem for us adults as we can wait but after a long journey our 4 children wanted to eat. Luckily we had left over snacks in our bag from the flight but still wasn’t ideal at all. Over all it was great, the kids loved it and for us that’s all that mattered. It was one of those “you pay for what you get.” Cheap holiday therefor basic. If your wanted a luxury holiday this is not the place for you.

We had everything we needed at this hotel and a few extras like the high wires course, splash park and the activities. The food was ok, but the layout of the restaurant made it always loud and people walking past all the time, so meal times weren't a relaxing experience. But there was always plenty to eat and plenty of choice for the kids and a vegetarian. Drinks were fine, entertainment was OK. The room was very comfortable and clean and great views. The location is good, close to the airport and easy access for walks along the front and around the marina. Couple of shops nearby. Not loads of restaurants too close but not needed when all inclusive. The pools were good, with shallow areas the kids could safely play in, but the tiles around them do get particularly slippy. Always managed to get sunloungers. Would probably have given it 5/5 if it was classed as 3 star, but as it's classed as 4 star it just felt like it could be a bit better.

Overall good - would’ve rated higher…

Overall, it’s a lovely hotel. Rooms are lovely and clean and the pool space ect is great to sit around (we spent most of our time at the adults only section). All staff are very friendly. The only down side I would say if the evening entertainment could be slightly better - myself and my partner chose not to bother most evenings.
The food is average - there seems to be a problem with keeping the food hot! It is warm but on the colder side than hot unless you get something straight off the press!! There was always plenty of option however, I feel they could benefit from themed food nights as I found myself going for the same things each night.
This review would’ve been a 4* however, unfortunately on our second to last night we had been back in our room for about an hour and was getting ready for dinner. Myself & my partner had both had showers and were in the process of getting dressed ready for dinner when we had a maintenance man knock the once on our door and let himself straight in! My partner was in his towel and I was getting changed!!! I was in completed shock so went straight down stairs to reception to complain as they walked straight in not leaving us anytime to say anything or open the door to them.
When I went to reception the receptionist pretty much laughed in my face and found the situation funny. She advised me that they do not have to inform us if someone is coming into our bedroom and that the maintenance man doesn’t even have to inform reception or give them a reason as to why they were coming into our room! We had not made any complaints ect to have the need for a maintenance man come into our room. When I asked why he was coming in I was simply told ‘they do not have to have a reason and we don’t have to inform you’ - I was very angry that this had happened as I was aware that the cleaners would be coming in between 9am and 3pm but no one else. I would like to think that if anything/anyone needed to come into our room or something needed to happen in our room we would’ve been informed as during the evening in the hotel we leave items in the safe ect (what if items were to go missing - if reception didn’t know he was in there/why he was in there how would we know if it was him or not)
After complaining to reception they told me that I should have my ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door (which we had not had on all week) - this left me very upset and not wanting to go for dinner that evening and left us leaving our holiday slightly upset.

Absolutely fantastic holiday

We stayed here from the 4th August for 8 nights. A family of 5. The hotel is immaculate and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had the best holiday we’ve had in years. The area around the hotel is beautiful and we would come back tomorrow if we could. I can’t understand some of the bad reviews on this hotel at all.

Family Holiday
15 Aug 2022
Good hotel. Not a four star but with a few changes could be made so. The rooms were furnished nicely and the restaurants were all modern. What does it lack to make it a four star??
The provision of a fresh bottle of water per guest per night in the fridges in the rooms.
Working Air Con. Working Lifts, especially since the family block went up to floor seven. Fix the loose tiles in the pools to stop people cutting their feet. Better cocktails at the bar. More entertainment on an evening instead of Bingo. More staff behind the bars.
Everything else was pretty spot on. The staff were freindly and helpful and the food was as to be expected from a three star (not four!). Keep the prices as a three star should be and we will definatley be back. At the end of the day the price we paid was in line with a three star and for that reason I will review it as a three star. It provided everything I would have expected from three star accomodation.

Where do I even start. I not long ago returned from this “resort” with my daughter. I was looking forward to coming home and we were only there a few days. For a start the pools were FREEZING, couldn’t stay in them long. The kids splash pool was shut the whole time we were there. They rave about all these restaurants but there was only one open and the food was terrible, felt like the same awful food every day, we even went out for dinner on the last night as we just couldn’t face the same rubbish food again. The snack bar was outside and constantly covered in flies, discusting. There was loud work being done on the beach front which they say you can’t hear but you can! The ceiling in the lobby was leaking. When we got there the room wasn’t ready, despite it supposed to be being ready so we had to wait around after a long day travelling. I asked twice for another pillow for the room as the pillows were like sleeping on a piece of cloth and never got it. Yes there are coffee facilities in the room which is lovely if you don’t mind drinking without milk. The TV in the room didn’t work. Walls were super thin you can hear everything going on next door which was not fun! Entertainment was diabolical, kids mini disco was “ok” but literally just one person stood at the front dancing, no lights or show for them or anything, oh, and the entertainment team have a day off on Wednesdays! So you need to entertain yourself then! It’s good that it is only a 15 min transfer but the planes are so loud landing and taking off so if you think that will bother you just don’t go here. The room was clean that’s probably the only positive I have to say.
