The design on this mat is very beautiful. It is good quality and should last a long time. It is a bit heavier than a typical yoga mat, which isn't a problem for me because I am using it in my home, but you may want to keep that in mind if you carry your mat to yoga class somewhere in the community. Clear care instructions were included, and it will be very low maintenance to take care of.
