"We absolutely loved this bungalow to stay in as a family of six with 2 dogs, it was perfect for what we needed."
However, there were a few issues and improvements I wanted to highlight: - [ ] Wicker patio area dirty, unhygienic and not usable, even though the weather was windy this would have been an ideal outdoor seating area out of the wind. But it was covered in dirt and bird poop. - [ ] Bathroom shower fills and overflows, problem with drainage, toilet blocked. We called the property manager before we left to make them aware. Bath moves too. - [ ] Mold on ceiling above windows in back bedroom, damp smell. - [ ] En-suite smelt of damp and sewage. - [ ] Couldn’t watch normal tv on lounge television, only streaming which wasn’t ideal. - [ ] Suggestion of more lighting out the back, it was pitch black going to the hot tub. We didn’t make use of the hot tub as much as we wanted to due to this. Path lights and extra lighting to make the garden light up would have been perfect. All in all we enjoyed our stay for my dad’s 70th birthday. Please can you confirm these comments will be sent to the owners/property owners? Thanks Sandra
Thank you for the feedback, Sandra. We're very sorry that you had a few issues during your stay. We were not aware of any issues with drainage in the shower. In any bathroom, showers and sinks get blocked occasionally. If guests call our property managers, they will come out and sort it. Unfortunately, there was a slight leak from the waste pipe at the back of the bath, which was fixed within 12 hours. Regarding the damp and sewage smell you describe in the ensuite, we have slept in the back bedroom ourselves and used the en suite many times and have not smelt anything. We have not had any comments from other guests either, however, we will investigate this. We will investigate the issue of mould above the windows in the bedroom as well and take remedial action if required. There is solar lighting with motion detectors out to the hot tub which we had not been told was not working but we will check it out and get it fixed as soon as possible. There are also a lot of camping lights and torches that you could have used to guide your way. It is possible to get normal TV channels so I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I'm not sure what might have been wrong there. Regarding the patio in the corner of the garden, I'm afraid that birds do seem to congregate in that area because it is the most sheltered part of the garden. We will review where best to put the patio furniture. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and will resolve these points as soon as possible. Property Owner

Where you’ll be staying
HAPPISBURGH, EAST ANGLIA
Norwich 19.3 miles; Great Yarmouth 22.5 miles
This historic village brushes the East Anglian coastline in the English county of Norfolk. Its lighthouse is the oldest working light in the area, as well as being the only independently run beacon in Great Britain, dating back to 1790. Its imposing tower of red and white stands proudly on the north-eastern headland surrounded by verdant countryside. You can visit this beautiful structure during public open days and climb the 112 steps up to the lantern. Another notable building in the village is St. Mary's Church, a 15th century landmark, whose tower warned mariners of the position of the perilous sandbanks nearby. This church also has set open days, where you can enjoy splendid views of the sea and enveloping fields from the top of the tower. Enjoy a picturesque stroll down to the beach and watch the lifeboats speedily tackle the untamed seas. There is also a village trail for you to amble, taking you past all the Happisburgh landmarks worth seeing. The village of Winterton-on-Sea is within easy reach by car and boasts a vast beach and wildlife-rich nature reserve that has attracted colonies of Terns and rare Natterjack toads. The old fishermen's cottages and village church makes it an idyllic location to bring the family for a day out. Further afield is the city of Norwich with its two cathedrals and Norman castle, whilst the popular seaside resort of Great Yarmouth offers one of Britain’s largest open air markets. A wonderful destination for your next holiday by the sea.
