We recommend using a mild vodka as a base. Russian Standard or Smirnoff Vodka have proven to be particularly good. With the whiskey set you can also take a white whisky, un-aged bourbon or a corn schnapps. Corn schnapps can be found under the name "moonshine".

All of our kits include the necessary equipment to create your own type of drink. The alcohol base you have to buy yourself, these are our recommendations: 

- WHISKEY: use an unaged whiskey as a base, like a white whiskey, a white dog, or a moonshine.
- GIN: if you want to create your own gin from scratch, use a regular vodka. If you rather start with an existing gin basis, start with your favorite gin.
- TEQUILA: use an unaged tequila as a basis, found in the shop as tequila 'blanco' or 'silver' and which is most usually colorless.
- RUM: use a white, unaged rum.
- VODKA: use your favorite vodka, as simple as that!

Please be aware that the 'Leave a note' section which Etsy offers you when performing your check out is NOT a gift not that we include with your kit.

We do not offer personalized gift notes (nor wrapping) with our kits. The boxes are packed with a colourful sleeve around it. If you want to surprise someone and add a message for the receiver, we would advise you to send you a card separately via a postal service.

If you order to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or an Armed Forces base, please note that the shipping might take up to 16 days.

For all other US states, we aim to deliver within 3 - 5 business days. Please note that during peak periods when our volumes are higher it might take a little bit longer, for which we hope for your understanding.

If you were not at home to receive your package at the moment of delivery, or your tracking link says it is delivered without you having received it, we kindly ask you to check in and around your house, with your neighbor's house or at a nearby post office. I purchased this as a gift, he hasn't used it yet but is very excited to. You do need to purchase vodka separately to start the kit right away (which makes sense, but I didn't know that otherwise I'd have gotten some to go with the gift). Shipping was fast and nothing is broken. My only gripe is that the bottles seem to be dusty/dirty straight out of the box; we don't have a dishwasher so I'm not sure how sterile handwashing will be for this purpose.
