This is my Zamora blouse (pattern from Itch to Stitch), made in viscose twill. It's right in line with Pantone 2025 color called "mocha mousse".

The feel of the fabric is amazing and it wasa pleasure to work with.

What makes the blouse so elegant is the bow tie. Timeless!

The released pintucks were a bit fiddly to trace and sew so my advice would be to take your time and do it one day, then trace and sew the fisheye darts another day, etc.

I did a size 8 with both front and back darts. I could have size done one size though since the fabric is lightweight and flowy.

I used some lightweight interfacing for the button band. G785 is my go-to interfacing for anything lightweight. It also need less steam and pressure from the iron.

Buttons are also from Eglantine & Zoe. They're perfectly shiny!

I can say that I'm pleased with this blouse and I will probably sew more Zamoras (but with a slightly raised neckline).

Another holiday make! I don’t really have any strappy dresses in my handmade wardrobe, but decided that my holiday wardrobe deserved at least one. This fabric is beautiful - it’s Eglantine et Zoe viscose twill. The emerald green colour is vivid and bright and the fabric is soft but substantial, with a good drape. I based this dress on the Ogden Cami pattern by True Bias but lengthened the bodice, making it A-line. I also added a small slit up each side seam and an elasticated waist. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. It was still really warm in the evenings in Sardinia so this pattern hack was perfect for a post-beach meal. I don't think this particular fabric is available anymore, but any of the Eglantine et Zoe fabrics look beautiful.

The thunderstorms hit just after I took these so I didn’t get a chance to take the ones with me wearing it yet!

I already knew that I would love working with the velvet, because I’ve used the green of it before (although I was concerned that “Ginger” would be too bright) but I wasn’t prepared for the absolutely lovely quality of this twill!

I was looking to make this coat fairly light weight because I wanted it to really swirl out on the skirt and because I sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic in heavy, fitted coats. This fairly lightweight twill is exactly what I was looking for. It is really stable and lively to work with. It frays a little (not to the level of some fabrics I’ve worked with lately) but I used pinking shears to finish the seams and added a strip of black bias tape to finish the front facing to avoid the fraying becoming an issue.

I have added the optional shoulder pads, covering them with a scrap of velvet to make the inside neat.

The buttons were from elsewhere but the elastic cord for the button loops and the trim are also tagged below.

I took the trim a bit further to the inside at waist level then I think the pattern meant but I wanted to make sure I didn’t end up with a dodgy end on the braided trim as I’m not confident I quite attached it as thoroughly as I could have.

I’m really looking forward to wearing this out! I’m sure I’ll feel over dressed to start with but will enjoy the swish.
