MPN KOLINK QUANTUM BUNDLE 1
MANUFACTURER Kolink
Although a relatively recent entrant to the market, Kolink has gone from strength to strength in making a name for themselves in the world of innovative and high-performance cases. As such, allow Kolink to introduce the new Quantum Midi-Tower! This is a feature-rich case that is perfect for gamers, and behind its attractive exterior lies a remarkable amount of space for powerful gaming hardware. In fact, even large E-ATX form factor motherboards will fit, meaning that even the ultimate no-compromises gaming PC will fit with space to spare. Needless to say, all this will be on show via the tempered glass side panel, with the unsightly elements such as cables being cleverly concealed behind a power supply shroud. The front of the case is distinguished by the presence of a diagonal mesh cut-out, which ensure a consistent supply of fresh air and optimal airflow to all your components. What makes this a little special however, is that it also comes with an inbuilt digitally addressable RGB-LED strip, along with a pre-installed 120mm fan, which likewise has its own dRGB-LEDs. Attractive looks and effective airflow, this case has it all. Want to go into stealth mode? There's a handy switch directly available on the I/O panel for that. Alternatively, the strip and the fan can also be hooked up directly to the motherboard and controlled that way instead. For additional cooling, users will be pleased to note the presence of a honeycomb-style mesh with its own integrated dust filter in the roof.

The Features of the Kolink Quantum Midi-Tower at a Glance:

  • Stylish Midi-Tower for motherboards up to E-ATX format
  • Tempered glass side panel
  • Front with diagonal mesh cut-out
  • Vibrant dRGB lighting on the front
  • One pre-installed 120mm fan with digitally addressable RGB-LEDs at the rear
  • Up to five 120mm fans compatible
  • Supports graphics cards up to 340mm long, CPU coolers 155mm tall
  • I/O Panel with controller for RGB-LEDs, 1x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0

Kolink Quantum: The Space You Need

Even though the outer dimensions meet the specs of a Midi-Tower, the Quantum offers a specially designed layout that allows motherboards up to E-ATX format to fit comfortably. Even 340mm long graphics cards that stretch out to the front of the case will fit. CPU coolers aren't a problem either, given the presence of 155mm of vertical clearance which is more than enough for all but the most exotic of coolers. A smart shroud is present that helps cover up the power supply and the HDD cage, in which users have the choice of installing either two 3.5"- or two 2.5" drives. The rear of the motherboard conceals some handy brackets that allow the installation of another two 2.5" SSDs should you require. A subtle curve on the right side of the case enables users to benefit from the extra cable storage space, despite the case as a whole remaining unobtrusive.

For the fans of traditional air cooling out there, we've got you covered: there's more than enough slots for 120mm fans, in fact the mesh cut-out front of the case and the side-facing air inlets supply air to potentially two 120mm fans. The roof allows for two 120mm fans to be installed as needed. Equipped with a honeycomb mesh in the roof, the case has perfectly optimised to keep the central component cool as well as dust free over time. Conveniently, Kolink also thought to include a magnetic dust filter for convenient cleaning. The added benefit of this of course is the fact that the interior won't need constant cleaning. One 120mm fan with dRGB LEDs comes installed at the back of the case. Want to water cool? No problem, just install up to a 240mm radiator in the front of the case, while the rear-mounted fan can simply be replaced by a 120mm radiator if you prefer.

Tempered Glass and RGB-LEDs: Get Your Hardware Looking Good

The clever combination of cable guides and ties mean that users are going to love the layout of their new system in the Quantum. The spacious interior complete with your gaming gear can all be admired through the tempered glass side panel. The diagonal mesh cut-out with dust filter is illuminated with digitally addressable RGB-LEDs, control of which is possible thanks to the presence of the switch on the I/O panel which also allows handy access to switching between light effects, and this also holds true for the lighting on the rear-mounted fan. Alternatively, the RGB lighting of the strip and the fan can be controlled by hooking it up to your motherboard directly. This then allows the RGB switch on the I/O panel to be used as a reset button. Aside from the RGB/Reset switch, there's also a handy USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports along with the standard 3.5mm jacks for headphones and microphones, not to mention power- and HDD-LEDs.

In addition to numerous low-priced yet highly regarded chassis and an extensive range of accessories, the Kolink brand already offers long power supplies of various performance classes. After the successful entry into the European market for PC power supplies at the end of 2015, Kolink is now working with the Core series and shows that particularly inexpensive power supplies are possible without the customer having to forego basic quality features. A Kolink-Core power supply delivers everything that is really important, while less important features are consistently saved. So the Cores are technically solid, but still hardly more expensive than the all-but-no-name products.

For the entry-level series, Kolink uses, for example, the 80 Plus certificate, which guarantees efficiency of more than 80 percent from 20 percent utilization at 115 volts. In the European 230-volt network, all models of the Core Series meet the requirements of EU Regulation No. 617/2013. Since July 2014, this has presumably required a minimum efficiency of 82 to 85 percent for all power supplies used in complete PCs. Because the mandatory requirements for standby power consumption and standby efficiency are also met, Kolink core power supplies are therefore a low-cost but right-safe choice for all integrators and system houses.

The fact that Kolink is familiar with its entry-level products is also evident in the equipment with connections. The 850-watt model offered here has a 4 + 4-pin EPS12V connector for the processor as well as a total of four 6 + 2-pin connectors for the graphics card in addition to the 20 + 4-pin ATX connector for the mainboard . Five SATA and three Molex connectors are available for the other components. The Kolink Core 850 Watt can therefore prove its performance at any time in real systems. Even gaming systems with SLI and Crossfire tapes from high-end graphics cards are supplied without problems by this low-cost power supply.

It is also worth noting that Kolink - unfortunately as part of the minority of the power supply brands - carries out both product design and final quality control completely in Europe before delivery to specialist retailers, system integrators and end customers. Despite the aggressive prices, these products are full-fledged retail products for the needs of European customers, whose quality is ensured by manufacturers at all times. A power supply must ultimately function reliably in the end, so that the computer runs smoothly.

Saving on the other hand is something that many users in this price class do not value: That Kolink delivers all power supplies without a power cable which protects the environment and saves costs, whereas most potential buyers already have cables already at home. Kolink also has a purist style in terms of optics, the cable strings are held together by convenient cable ties instead of elaborate sleeves. The surface is simply black lacquered, so the power supply in the PC hardly noticeable. In short, if you only have a tight budget, the core power supply is currently the best choice.

Faulty

by Aaron fox star_border star_border star_border star_border star

Bought this bundle over a year ago thinking I had received a steal. I then put my brand new build together to find th exhaust fan is not working at all. And the case is tough to build in if not experienced. Overall would have provided more stars if I had more success with this bundle as the fans were the highlight for everything.

Great case, psu and fans

by Michael star star star star star

Great value, awesome looking case and lights side panels a bit fiddly getting back on and I had some trouble figuring the wiring of extra fans so all the LEDs would work but figured out in end by switching cables around until they were correct. I have only just received today and put new system in but psu seems good too quite weighty, plenty of connections and long wires.
