Three crochet vegetable patterns:
-- Carrot (includes 'bitten-off' version)
-- Onion
-- Potatoes (includes 2 different shapes)
Crocheted vegetables make an unusual table centre, or natural playthings for your children. The 'bitten-off' carrot version is perfect for making believe that Rudolf or the Easter Bunny has come to visit!
The vegetables are designed to be realistic and approximately life-sized when made in double-knitting (light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn, with a 3.5mm (E-4) crochet hook. The onion is approximately 7cm or 2¾” in diameter, the potatoes are around 9cm or 3½" long, the carrot is around 12-13cm or 4¾" long.
But of course you can make mini or mammoth, fuzzy or sparkly vegetables with different yarns and an appropriate hook!
The patterns includes detailed notes on yarn quantities and types, and stuffing choices.
The patterns are available in either UK or US crochet terminology (French will be available in time). Both files will be made available to you on completion of payment, and you can just choose whichever you prefer to use.
Important features of my crochet patterns:
My crochet patterns include BOTH a detailed 'tutorial-style' set of instructions with colour photos, AND a succinct unillustrated pattern using standard crochet conventions.
I have developed this style because I find I like to see a lot of detail the first time I work a pattern, but if I then work the same piece again, I don't need the pictures, etc, and indeed they can get in the way when I just want a quick reminder of what I'm doing. The PDF is also structured so that the succinct version, with an area for your own notes, is on a single page, making it easy to just take one sheet of paper with you if you have printed it out for quick reference on the move.
All my patterns come with full support. If you have any difficulties, please contact me. Rest assured I am a real person and I'd love to hear from you and see pictures of your finished veggies! :-)
I also sell finished fruit and vegetables. Please see my other listings.
