This is a gorgeous heavy-weight silk faille 50s evening dress. The dress is a gorgeous red color with spaghetti straps and a pleats off the shoulder sleeves/bertha collar that has a sweet little bow at the center. The bodice is fitted and it has a basque waistline. There are pleated swags on the sides and the skirt is wonderfully full. The dress is ballerina/ankle length and is unlined. It has a metal zip up the back and the bodice is boned for support. The dress is heavy so the boning and strap help support the weight and keep the shape. It is displayed with petticoats that are not included. There is a tag at the back for Fred Perlberg.
Condition:
The dress is in great condition with one thing to note. The boning casing and tag have been stained red from the dress. It does not have any effect on the wearability of the dress, just a thing to note. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.

Please check the measurements closely for determining fit. I do not give sizes for vintage items as women's sizes are not standardized and a majority of these dresses were homemade or specialty-made to fit one person. If you have any questions about the fit feel free to ask, I am happy to help.
Also if you happen to want more photos of anything please feel free to ask I am happy to provide them.
I am happy to do layaway on all items over $100.
Shipping:
All items are lovingly packed for safe travels and the experience of buying a (mostly) one-of-a-kind piece. Anything over $500 requires a signature at delivery.
