5 out of 5 starsI recently was gifted a small seaside orchid candle, and I am now obsessed with it, and this shop. Just the best scents! Definitely also a plus supporting a small, woman run, local (or at least pretty close proximity) business. Hi 👋 from Lincoln City (your note was so sweet) ☺️ Thank You!

How do I care for my wooden wick candle?
1. Igniting your first flame? Give it at least two hours to ensure a fully melted top, and no chance of pesky tunneling later on.
2. Keep your wick in check! Trim it before each use will ensure that the flame never gets out of hand. So be sure to give those nails, wick trimmers or nail clippers their time in the spotlight – they're here for more than just self care!
3. Remember: burn bright and never all night - a good rule of thumb is 4 hours max. When wax starts getting low, don't overstay its welcome; discontinue use when there is 1.5cm of wax remaining.
What do I do if my wood wick keeps going out?
Is your wood wick floundering? If so, a few simple adjustments may be needed to ensure the optimal burn. Try trimming off any burnt tips with either your fingers or a tool such as nail clippers and make sure not to exceed 5mm in length for maximum effectiveness. Keep up regular maintenance of your candles' flames to ensure clean burning every time!
My candle has tunneled, what do I do?
Instead of fretting over an accidentally tunneled candle, there's a simple solution: wrap the sides and top of your tin in foil with a hole for the wick. This will create an oven effect that helps melt down any uneven edges. For best results on your first burn-through, make sure to leave it burning until all wax has reached its edge - this forms what is known as a 'memory ring', ensuring better performance from then on!
