Welcome to our woven wonderland, we hope you find something you like! Each basket has been uniquely handmade from start to finish, giving you a true artisanal product that supports the makers & keeps an age old tradition alive. We work directly with weaving cooperatives across rural Africa with the aim of providing them with a sustainable income by using natural & local materials.

Cancellations

Request a cancellation: within 24 hours of purchase

Payment

We accept payment via Paypal & Debit/Credit Cards. You have the right to cancel your order, however if the order has already been processed and shipped by The Basket Room, you will need to follow the standard returns procedure.

Shipping

We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-3 working days, once your payment has been confirmed. All UK orders are sent via Royal Mail or DPD next day delivery.

International orders will be sent either via UPS, Royal Mail International Standard/Tracked delivery or Landmark Global, shipping times vary for each product. We may sometimes use an alternative courier to be price competitive.

European parcels may take up to 5 working days and International destinations may take up to 10 days to arrive.

EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS:
There is no longer any additional duty or fees to be paid on orders for our European customers.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
Please note that there will be duty, VAT or other charges to be paid prior to receipt of your order. You will be contacted by the courier to pay any additional charges. The Basket Room is not responsible for any of these additional fees or duties once your package has reached your country.

Additional policies and FAQs

It is very rare that items will get lost in the post. If there is no sign of your basket after 10 days, the plan of action is:

Check the shipping address on your order confirmation.
Check with your neighbours – sometimes the courier will leave parcels with your close neighbours.
If no luck, please contact us and we will try to help solve the problem.
