Based on contemporary portraits of Queen Luise of Prussia and extant garments of her time we created a pattern paying tribute to the signature style of a German fashion icon. The high waisted dress features a crossover front with ruched inset and a gathered skirt, reminiscent of the fashionable styles of late 18th / early 19th c. Europe. Portraits picturing Luise in this dress date to 1799.

You should specify that it is a pattern and NOT a dress! The photo is misleading and certainly many people who bought the pattern from me thought they would receive the dress! Very bad experience
