A few years ago, I was relaxing on my sofa and felt that something was not quite right. I stood up and took a long hard look at my sofa. It looked tired and worn out by the constant pawing of my cat and two dogs, plus my 5 year old using it as a canvas for his drawings. I thought that may be the time was right to replace my sofa and buy a new one. But my sofa wasn’t that old and was still very comfortable – throwing it out would be an incredible waste and very environmentally unfriendly!

But then I thought that I also had to be fair to my pets too. The reasons why they were scratching up my sofa was because they didn’t have their own couch equivalent to relax on. I thought wouldn’t it be nice to have a comfy bed for my pets, so that they wouldn’t feel compelled to hit on my sofa? It would be even better if the bed matched my sofa too. And then I thought what if I wanted to have my pet on the sofa relaxing next to me on their very own mat, which also matched my sofa? My imagination was in overdrive!

And that’s when it suddenly dawned upon me – why not get a new sofa cover instead of replacing my perfectly good sofa and also create a special place for my pets to relax and call their own! And then a second bolt of lightning struck - with my prior experience of designing couch covers for Bon Ton back in 2011 , I thought why not put my talents to good use to design and make my own couch cover with a matching pet bed and mat? I did this and was very pleased with the results. So pleased that I decided to start sharing my creations with everyone and began selling various designs through Petbitat!

I loved designing and hand-making things from an early age. As a former fashion and accessories designer and a pet lover, I started Petbitat in 2005. The Petbitat product line included replacement couch covers, pet beds, pet bowls, pet charms and pet bandanas etc. I either designed or handmade the products myself and personally supervised the production team in the production process. I began Petbitat with the intention of creating the best pet furniture and accessories that any pet and their owner could ever wish for. Over the years, I have had many experiences in designing and creating products with well know department stores around the world, such as the US department store Bon Ton, worldwide retail store Iris Ohyama and the Korean department store Emart, etc. I have been successfully selling my products internationally for many years and have the Petbitat trademark registered in the United States and China.

So, over the past few years I have concentrated my talents on creating couch covers for discerning owners just like you … who are looking to replace their worn sofa ruined by their pets, or parents looking for a replacement cover battered by their children, as well as those who are just bored with the current design and colour and would like a change - you can now easily do so!

Likewise, why should you and your pet have to settle for a drab or overtly colourful bed or mat, that looks completely out of place next to your lovely sofa? So, I also created a variety of pet beds and mats, which your beloved cat or dog can relax upon and feel even more pampered. And more good news - all of my pet products are available in the same fabrics and colours of my sofa covers, so you can have an exact match! No longer does your pet bed or mat need to be hidden away in a corner. You can now proudly have your pet snoozing next to your sofa in their very own matching hand-made bed or you can even put your custom mat on your sofa, have it blend in perfectly (and protect your sofa too) and enjoy having your pet relaxing right next to you. Pampering has reached a whole new level! How cool is that?!

My experience and expertise have taught me that appearances are not everything. I know that how my products look is very important. However, I also know that the quality and craftsmanship is integral in their creation. Can I change my shipping address provided on the order?

Please noted that it is our shop policy to not accept any request for changing the shipping address from the one originally provided with the order. Any customers who would like to change their shipping address from the one originally provided with their order, will need to make a replacement order with the address that he/she would like the product to shipped to.
