Materials: pecky cypress, epoxy, teal resin, glow in the dark powder

Pecky cypress is a species native to the southern part of the United States. It's a wood that is grown in swampland and, once harvested, reveals a myriad of little "pockets" that were the result of a fungus.

After the tree is felled this fungus dies and leaves the cypress "pecky", hence the name.

We thoroughly clean out these pockets and fill them with a colored resin that not only contrasts the honey-colored wood but also glows in the dark!

After several years of tedious crafting, we've refined our process to build these gorgeous pieces and are excited to offer them for your home. A few notes:

- The wood is cleaned, planed, and sanded to a high sheen. This wood is then sealed with a waterproof membrane for use in either indoor or outdoor spaces.

- The customer can choose virtually any color for their piece, and we also are excited to let customers mix and match several colors at no extra charge.

SHIPPING: Shipping to the lower 48 is included in the listing price. It includes white glove delivery via courier who will call prior delivery to ensure someone is home to receive the table. They will bring the table into your home and set it up for you (if assembly is required, they will do it for you)

DISCLAIMER: You are purchasing a 100% handmade item. The wood is milled from its roughest state into a finished product. As a result (and as is common with all wooden furniture) there is a change there are minor visual imperfects (small knots for example) that are simply unavoidable. This is not a perfect manufactured piece and that is part of its charm. Wood is by nature an imperfect medium and part of the reason I love working with it is its tendency to lend character to each unique piece.

We ship 95% of our pieces fully assembled. The pieces that ship unassembled are usually at the request of the buyer.

To keep costs down for our buyers we employ our couriers via UShip and as a result the shipping duration can vary from customer to customer. We ship out of Georgia so those customers on the east coast will receive their pieces quicker than those on the west coast.

Our shippers work independent from our shop and have no affiliation with WoodEyes Woodworks. As a result we take every precaution possible to package your piece and protect it during transit.

Certainly! We use a marine-grade varnish for our outdoor furniture that's both water-resistant and UV-resistant. We always recommend against leaving any standing water since that will erode the finish, but otherwise your table should hold up to the elements very well! For even more protection we suggest picking up a lightweight furniture cover to keep the piece good as new.
