What's The Story

The first pair of pajama pants I ever made, I couldn't even wear. I had sewn the two back pieces together and the directional print was upside down. I was frustrated, annoyed and my confidence took a little hit. After a little self imposed time out, I realized that, no, I couldn't wear those pajama pants, but I could learn from my silly sewing mistakes. And that is just what I did.

Over the next several years, I would sew projects and embrace the mistakes. I recognized that those mistakes were learning opportunities, a way to improve my sewing. The more mistakes I made, the more I learned, and the more my confidence in my skills improved.

Today, I take the sewing mistakes I've made and teach others, like you, how to avoid them and even embrace them. I am here to help you find the confidence to sew something new, make mistakes and be proud of your progress.

Chelsea is a wife, mother of 3 and an avid seamstress. She has always enjoyed all things domestic, which is why she graduated with a degree in Family Consumer Science (aka Home Economics). She LOVES to teach and she especially loves to teach others to sew. She has taught both beginner sewing and fashion design to kids and adults alike. Sew Simple Home sewing patterns are designed to help even the newest sewist learn and succeed at sewing.

How do I get my pattern?

Go to "purchases and reviews" section in Etsy and find the order. You cannot use the Etsy app to get your download. They do not have a download option on the app.

You'll need to go open an internet browser because patterns can't download from the app.

Once you open your Etsy account, go to the "purchases and reviews" section in Etsy and find the order. There is a button next to the order that says "download files". Click and download it to your device to print. youtu.be/D3gxHJX_-eU

I downloaded my pattern but now I can't find it

Try using the search tool on your computer or device and search for the name of the pattern you purchased.

Do you sell finished sewing products?

No. All of the products in our shop are PDF sewing patterns. We do not take custom sewing orders for finished sewn products.
