Rab's Ascent range of sleeping bags are duck down filled performance sleeping bags designed for regular use - the Ascent 900 is the warmest, built for use in colder climates.
Made using durable and lightweight Pertex Microlight fabrics, they give you durable build and construction, with very effective warmth for bags of such low weight.
The Ascent 900's roomy semi-rectangular foot area gives you space to move without losing insulation, which is great for those who don't like the restriction of a mummy shaped bag.
The Pertex Microlight* outer shell and inner lining is ultra-light and very densely woven, holding the goose down fill in place without obstructing the bag's breathability.
It comes with two storage sacks - a large storage/carry sack, and a compression stuff sack - giving you the option of compacting the bag down to conserve space in your kit, or keeping it uncompressed for long term storage, to preserve the down.
If what you are looking for is comfort and warmth this is a fantastic bag. Spacious, soft and incredibly warm, don't need to wear layers when using this bag. But at 1.6kg it isn't the lightest.
Fantastic bag, lots of room for side sleepers, good quality and good warmth to weight ratio for the price. Look forward to using it in earnest top of lake district hills at end of October.
I spent weeks looking through hundreds of possible winter bags but kept coming back to the Rab as its unbeatable for the price/quality, also nice to be buying British for once.
Extremely good and very warm. Little snug around the knees
Sleeping bag that arrived had been previously used, ripped internally in over 5 places and shoddily repaired. Returned, Still awaiting refund.
Excellent. Warm and cozy - such a comfortable night's sleep. So far I've only tried it out in Scotland's summer and it was almost too warm! Looking forward to having this through the late fall and winter, as it will be a dramatic improvement over my old two season bag.
Doesn't pack down particularly small, but worth it for the warmth.
After 5 nights use, I can only describe it as a very warm and comfortable bag, I just can’t fault it.
I bought and used this sleeping bag for a trip up Kilimanjaro. Even at base camp with temps hitting -10/15C I was sleeping in just boxers and had to leave the zip partially undone so I wasn’t too hot!
Not used yet but a quality product from Rab...and great service from Go Outdoors !!
