Before a ready product is elaborated I often put my ideas and thoughts down on paper.
As the time passes, they take form and materialize in my workshop.
From time to time I attend to handcraft fairs and festivals. This time I installed myself with my winter menagerie in the local cultural center.

Created with passion and for the love of wool

My name is Irena Biskup and Pawie Oczko is my small art felt studio in Poland. I've dedicated myself to felting for 11 years and I am a co-author of a series of books about felting entitled "Magia Filcowania" (The magic of felting).
I attended my first class of felting with my mother. We wanted to spend some pleasant time together, but I've become engrossed with the technique from the very first moment. What fascinates me in felting is the possibility of creating both flat, painting-like forms as well as spatial sculptures. It allows me to breathe life into anything that I visualize in my mind. And the process of felting can sooth me, clear my head, calm my nerves, it has a therapeutic power. I've graduated as a special educational needs teacher, so this therapeutic aspect had a great importance to me.
I had run my studio alone since 2008, but in 2017 I was joined by Dominik. Nowadays, we work together and we create for you amazing and unique items from felt. We create with passion and for the love of wool. I hope you can find here something special for yourself and your beloved!
