  • "This property is in an ideal location, very close to Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth."

The accommodation is a perfect size for two, well equipped to a high standard and comfortable. We will definitely visit again.

Thank you for the feedback Rosemary, we're glad you had a nice stay at Farriers Retreat and, of course, you'd be welcome back any time. Property Owner

  • "Nice place in a quiet part of Devon."

Clean and comfortable just missing a washer. Owners kept their distance which suited us.

Thanks for your feedback and we're glad you had a nice stay here. As you can see from the size and layout of the kitchen we just wouldn't be able to fit a washing machine in, which is a shame but logistically it just can't be done, unfortunately. We hope this didn't spoil your stay too much. Property Owner

  • "Farriers Retreat is an absolutely lovely place."

Beautifully furnished and equipped. Little personal touches made it obvious a lot of care and attention has been given to creating a beautiful and practical space. The kitchen has everything needed to properly cook, the bedroom/sitting room is large and comfortable with access to the garden - perfect for my two dogs. It's the perfect combination of peaceful location and easily accessible walks and local beauty spots. Plus close enough to M5/A30 it's worth the extra few miles to find this tranquil little oasis. Lovely also to meet the owners who were so friendly and helpful.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, it's good to know that the work we put into the design of Farriers is appreciated. It was nice to meet you and your 2 dogs and we're really pleased you had a nice stay and managed to get out and about (and you were fortunate with the weather). We hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

It has everything you need for your stay. Beautiful and clean. Jim and Fran were lovely hosts even though we were not around very much to see them. Lovely walks on the doorstep. If we need a place to rest our heads when down to stay we will certainly see if Farriers Retreat is available. Lottie and Pippa were sorry not to see Alfie a lot more.

Thanks for the feedback and, of course you're welcome back any time. It was a shame we didn't get to know you more, maybe next time. Glad you had a lovely stay In our little corner of East Devon. Property Owner

Separate area for dogs, access to main garden is available; unfortunately we are only blessed with one of those! Appreciated the welcome pack too. Owners Jim and Fran have designed this annexe to a really high standard, super shower, comfy bed, great kitchen. Ideal area for exploring east devon, nice local walks too.

Thanks for the lovely feedback and we're so glad you found Farriers Retreat to be comfortable. It was great to met you and your dogs and its nice to hear that you got plenty of exploring done. • "Had a fabulous stay at farriers retreat."

Was everything we wanted and more. Set in a lovely location and the cottage had everything we wanted. Only thing i would say is that it's not really suitable if you've got a reactive dog like we had as the garden is shared with the owners who have their own gorgeous dog. Apart from that, was just perfect. We'll definitely be back but without the dog.

Thanks for the feedback and we understand your comments about your dog. We did try to keep our dog in when yours was out. We put the fence along the edge of the Farrier Retreat garden to make it more enclosed for owners dogs (so there is a private enclosed garden for guests to use), but as a picket style fence it's hard to stop Alfie looking through when he goes into our garden. Of course, you'd be more than welcome back any time. Property Owner

Parking was easy just opposite Farriers Retreat. I had thought from the information that it would be more difficult than it was. Only downside for us was that the bed was hard - it's a solid top divan, but that's personal and I do have a very sensitive back!

Thanks for the feedback and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. Such a shame about the bed being a bit hard for you but we hope it didn't spoil your holiday here. Property Owner
