Very well acted by the professionals. Every guest interacted encouraged by the actors. Lots of twists and turns in the plot. A thoroughly enjoyable break with afternoon tea, one nights hotel stay and breakfast included. Very good value for money.

Nice gift to receive
First timers with Murder57. Now we know what to do regarding booking venue we would do it again. Stayed at the Wroxton House Hotel. Staff could not be more helpful or nice, food very good. Pleasant surroundings & stay. As long as you involve yourselves in the evening you will have a great time.

Hotel booking
We booked our break at the Wroxton House Hotel several months ago only to be informed last week that this hotel had overbooked. It turned out that we were just two of about twenty plus people that were overbooked. We were advised that we would now be staying at the Whatley Hall Hotel. We were advised that Wroxton would arrange taxi's to take us from Whately to Wroxton and that this would be at 7:00pm Ate Whately recepyion at 6:50 we waited and waited and eventually after speaking to reception we got our taxi at 7:15. This may seem trivial but considering that the theme for the evening was starting at 7:30, this made us and another couple late. When arriving at Wroxton I went to get drinks and it took three members of staff to work out the roll of paper in the credit card machine . By now I am 15 minutes late for the Murder Mystery event so missed the whole jist of what was going on. Wroxton receptionist did manage to get a refund on the taxi which supposedly had already been paid for. The food at Wroxton was at best luke warm and very bland. Same issues with the taxi company, that again was supposedly booked and paid for by Wroxton was a joke and when about half way back to the Whately Hall, the driver stopped and started to do a U turn as this was not paid for. He then got on to his controller who advised him to take us to Whately Hall, and it would be sorted out with the Wroxton Hotel. So the evening was a bit of a shambles. Jennie at Red Letter Days had arranged our room at the Whately Hotel and tis was a blessing as our room was very good. Would I ever book at the Wroxton Hotel. NO. Would I ever book at the Whately Hotel YES.

Brilliant night
Enjoyed everything about this. The afternoon tea was very nice and the murder mystery evening was a very eventful night. The characters and plot were amazing even though we got the wrong person. The food throughout our stay was very good as well.

Amateur Actors, Mediocre Hotel
The Murder Mystery part was funny but not for a good reason It was so bad that we had to laugh. This would have been a regretable evening if we weren't on a table with people that could also see the funny side of it. I've seen better actors in school plays. Some of them were reading the script from their phones (I think they had given up trying to act at that point) because they didnt know their lines and didn't know the names of the characters (they couldn't remember who had died!). The Spectre's costume was basically a bed sheet and a joke wig with the worst make up I've ever seen. The food was tasty but it was three courses of appetisers (too small). The hotel staff (The Angel, Cardiff) during dinner were great. They were efficient and friendly; that's the only reason this gets two stars. The drinks were some of the most expensive I've ever had to buy and the hotel room was pretty dirty (bathroom grouting was black in places and the carpet was stained).
