HOW ITS MADE
Phase 1
To make this I First start by making the hooks using recycled bicycle chain that has been decreased and clean of foreign debris.
Each hook is cut to size and every pin is pressed in to stiffen the chain section, it is than manipulated into a hook shape. These hook shapes are then put in a vice on a steel welding table and a is welded across the back heavy knuckle to hold the shape and add tensile strength. A little time at the wire wheel on the bench grinder and the welder are clean up and ready for phase two.
Phase 2
The hooks are than welded to there mating cogs at 4 points and a angle grinder with different grit flap discs to clean and smooth out the weld points and well as remove unwanted weld spatter. once completed welding each hook to a cog the cogs are than welded to each other forming the three hook keychain organizer. Additionally I weld to chain links halves to each side for extra mounting holes.
The completed 5 double hook organizer is than taking to be powder coated (in house) with its final end color!!!
