WHY A CARDOLOGY CARD?

When an ordinary card just won’t do, our memorable Pop Up Cards are gifts in themselves and are designed to make a lasting impression. Unlikely to ever meet the recycle bin, our miniature works of art are usually found in pride of place on the mantelpiece for a very long time.

They can be used for a multitude of occasions, like, if you are going to a wedding and want a beautiful card to put gift vouchers in? Or perhaps your best friend has had a new baby and you want to gift her with a keepsake she can treasure?

What about if your partner has just done the marathon for the first time and you want something memorable to gift or maybe you have a relative in hospital so you want a beautiful card that pops up like a bunch of flowers?

Our cards never fail to get an amazing reaction of pure surprise and delight, which is just priceless!

WHERE ENGINEERING MEETS ART...

Our cards are created using a technique called Sliceform engineering and the Asian artform, Kirigami. We first discovered this amazing craft years ago when we travelled to Asia. We saw different styles of 3D cards including Kirigami, but the ones that really captured our interest were the Paper Engineered cards, the really intricate ones that open up 180 degrees to have something inside completely “pop up”.

EXCITING PROJECTS WE HAVE WORKED ON....

In the past few years, we have developed almost 200 copyrighted designs and have been privileged to work with some prestigious household names on bespoke projects, such as National Trust in Scotland, National Portrait Gallery, Sotherby's, House of Commons, to name a few.

We have regularly feature in influential magazines and national publications such as the Sunday Times, Stylist magazine, Evening Standard and even made our TV debut on ITV This Morning for the Valentine’s Day segment with Ruth and Eamonn.

Most recently, we have entered into an exciting partnership with Warner Brothers, to bring much loved characters such as Harry Potter, Batman, and Wonder Woman to full pop-up life as well as Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to produce exquisite charity cards. We have many other partnerships bubbling in the pipeline which we can't wait to launch. We are also working with country lifestyle brand ‘Joules’ to offer some fabulous rural cards as a fitting tribute to Cardology’s very first customer base.

We take great pride in our design as well as quality, which has allowed us to work with some amazing household brands in the UK and abroad.

HOW WAS CARDOLOGY BORN?

Cardology was born in 2014, by family members; Dipa, Kripa and David. Our mission was to design keepsake products that enhance connections and enable the expression of love in a meaningful way, which is more important than ever, in the fast-paced digital world in which we live.

We combine paper-engineering techniques and art; stretching the boundaries of their imagination to create magical 3D cards that bring people together.

Our journey first started by importing the very best of Kirigami cards but quickly realised the designs were just not right for the UK consumer, especially for the very competitive UK and USA Card industry. We were bursting with ideas of how we could transform this artform and put our own stamp on it.

Lucky for us, our career backgrounds in engineering, computing and business gave us the necessary skills to design our own Pop Up Cards.

REGISTERED DESIGNS

All unique cards to Cardology have full IP and design rights protection. Once we finalise a design in our studio we register the design immediately before sending our electronic files to our partners to laser cut and assemble for us. We are also a member of ACID (Anti Copying In Design) and the Greeting Cards Association. We spend weeks designing a new card and love the creative process.
