Vintage Sizing vs. Modern Sizing ☞

Times have changed, below is everything you will need prior to purchasing a piece of vintage clothing.

Use a dressmaker’s tape measure a garment you own with similar style, construction, desired fit. Measurements should be taken flat, on a flat - even surface, from seam to seam.

Bust ☞
Measure flat across the bust (underarm) - seam to seam. Make sure to measure appropriately where gussets apply.

Waist ☞
Measure flat across the smallest point of the waist - seam to seam.

Hip ☞
Measure around the fullest part of the hips, generally about 8 to 9 inches below the waist - seam to seam.

Length ☞
Measure from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom hem line.

Due to the nature of vintage, some items may show signs of wear. "Condition Issues" will be addressed in each listing to the best of my ability.

To help guide you please look for the following keywords:

Excellent ☞ The item is clean and free from noticeable damage or discoloration. All original components are intact.

Good ☞ The item may have minor conditions issues. These issues may be visible to the naked eye but will not detract from presentation. These garments may have noted repairs

Fair ☞ The item may have moderate, noticeable condition issues. These items will be priced accordingly.

Damaged ☞ These items will be found in a section available for study and repair at a discounted price and will be non-refundable.

Item or items totaling $50 or more may be purchased via layaway. Please contact me directly to initiate a payment plan.

Terms:
Based on total amount, payment plans may be set up for 30 - 90 days.

A non-refundable 20% deposit is required at the time of the purchase agreement.

Layaway is a commitment to purchase. All layaway payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

A Paypal account is required, as the balance is invoiced in agreed upon increments due at agreed upon dates.

Missing a payment without contact within 72 hours is considered a forfeiture of the agreement, the payment plan will be cancelled and all payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Returns are strictly reserved for listing inaccuracies or undisclosed condition issues. Consideration for all returns and exchanges are taken case by case. Should a refund be offered ALL SHIPPING COSTS will be to the responsibility of the buyer, this includes initial shipping costs and return shipping costs. ALL REFUNDS are subject to a 20% restocking fee. There will be NO REFUNDS offered for LAYAWAY purchases. Your satisfaction is my #1 priority. Please contact me directly regarding a request for returns or exchanges within 72 hours of delivery.

All purchases made within the state of Texas are subject to local/state taxes not to exceed 8.25% of purchase price. If you are not located within the state of Texas and have been subjected to these additional costs please contact me for an adjustment.

International customs and import taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser. Veracious Vintage Company is not responsible for ANY custom fees. Prices cannot be adjusted to reflect a lower amount on any customs form. These forms are legal and binding and fraudulent information can result in both legal and financial penalties to the shop. Items that are returned due to unpaid fees or failure to claim will NOT be refunded. Buyer will be responsible for any and all subsequent shipping costs.

Once an item has been shipped it is to the responsibility of the buyer to follow provided tracking information. Please allow an appropriate amount of time for general shipping delays - Domestic: 2-3 weeks from shipment and International: 4-5 weeks from shipment. If an item is significantly delayed without trackable explanation please contact me directly and/or contact your local postal service to file an official inquiry. All items are shipped with proof of shipment and tracking, refunds will not be offered for items lost or missing after shipment.
