None of my batts or fibres are sent vacuum packed because I believe that this is detrimental to the integral squishy floofiness of your purchase as they have to be unpacked and you must wait a few minutes for them to refloof. However, the exception to this is some larger international orders where I try to save my customers shipping on volumetric weight. If your order does contain vacuum packed batts, just unzip the bag top, remove the batts and they will naturally replump with no ill effects - a veritable wool explosion! The same goes for raw fleece.
All my dyed merino comes from south america only from flocks that are non mulesed. This is a very important issue to me and something I guarantee.
If you have any questions please get in touch and I will be happy to help. I also have a physical shop so have much which is not yet listed and am happy to obtain other fibres if I can.
My raw fibres (this does not include dyed merino) locks and raw fleeces are all sourced from the UK (apart from silk) and from trusted farmers that I have a good relationship with and who I buy from every year. I can guarantee high welfare standards in this way and the very best quality fleeces.
The extra items such as horse hair, feathers and anything else of the kind, are cruelty free and not as a result of any kind of slaughter. This means my prices are a bit higher, as the feathers or hair have to naturally fall out or be brushed out / trimmed and are therefore available only in small quantities. This is my preference as I love all creatures, am involved in animal welfare/ wildlife rescue and wouldn't do anything to harm them.
As always I love hearing from you all with custom requests or just to see what you are creating with my fibre or yarn so do let me know. Goodies are up for grabs for posting images about my wares on social media.
All yarn colourways are available as fibre upon request at the same price as my batts and in any quantity. I also am able to provide yarn if required in the same colourways, for an additional charge. Please note that all yarn is spun to order, and orders are processed in the order in which they come in, so if you need something for a deadline you need to please contact me upon placing your order, as this necessarily will take time. I am happy to do rush orders but need to be made aware there is a deadline, first, and tracking upgrades are available. Please note that dye batches do vary in shade slightly and I will always try to match colours in different orders perfectly, this is not always possible as there will be some variation. This is a hand created unique art product and as such, colours and shades may vary.
I am afraid I cannot offer guaranteed returns as each order is prepared especially and individually for you. I do NOT accept returns on custom items which includes all of my handspun yarn as this is spun to order. However I pride myself on looking after my customers and if any item is faulty I will be more than happy to see what I can do to provide excellent customer service. Most of my customers come back time and time again, and all repeat customers receive a lifetime discount code as well as extra free treats with every order.
My driving goal is to bring colour into people's lives - through vibrant yarns and fibres, artwork, stained glass and more. All of my items are made personally by myself in the UK including the frames which some of my work is presented in.
I work very long hours from home which I share with my husband and pet bird but it's a real labour of love. My home is furry pet free although I'm an animal lover so no pet hairs in the fibre. We are also non smokers so no smoke smells in my products either! I'm a huge animal lover and rescue and rehabilitate wildlife (British birds) and my business here helps to fund this. I also donate to Wildlife SOS and SPANA who help animals abroad.
I firmly believe that colours and beautiful objects can give us a lift and cheer us up even on our most blue days.
I love to hear from customers, especially with their wishes for yarns, fibres or artwork of different favourite colours or themes. I take commissions and am also a writer, taking commissions for personalised poems or prose for that special occasion. Please feel free to inbox me! Many of my items can be personalised for that extra special gift.
I take great pride in looking after my customers and providing that personal touch and am lucky enough to have many regular ones who come back to me time and again. I try to have a flat shipping rate to keep things simple for international customers. Please be aware that some of my shipping costs do include the price of packaging, although I try to keep this to a minimum and recycle where I can. I try to keep my business plastic-free as much as possible. I have repeat customers all over the world and ship anywhere! I'm happy to send tracked if you wish to pay extra for additional peace of mind, the tracked upgrade is in my shop. I do not make any money from shipping costs and do not offer free shipping because I would have to increase my prices to compensate for that which I think is unfair to the buyer. My prices are transparent. Because I ship worldwide and have customers all over the world, I reserve the right on orders that are particularly bulky or heavy, to ask you to make an additional contribution towards the shipping. This is simply so that I can afford to keep my business going as my margins are very small and I cannot afford to absorb shipping costs. I hope you understand that this is how I keep my prices down and my business running. :)
For some countries who have more unreliable postal services I reserve the right to ask you to pay an extra charge for a tracked service, for both your and my own, protection.

4 out of 5 starsMy only quibble with this was that the batt shown had more green in it, (the mock turtle colourway), the one my daughter received was much bluer. She was happy with it though, so that was all that mattered. The little bonus was some black roving, which was an interesting choice. The shop was quick to communicate, and chatty.
