In 2010, after a lifetime of living with chronic pain, I finally found the serenity to accept my disabilty and discovered jewelry making. I had actually lived with pain & fatigue most of my life, but when it became constant I really struggled.

As with many spoonies, after attempting to work outside my home, I found I simply couldn't manage. I needed to re-define myself, and I have found all the passion and hope I craved in my shops. I feel I have found a new way to encourage people with disabilities. I have dedicated this shop to spreading hope, encouragement, awareness and kindness.

My work space became my bed many years ago. Due to ack pain, Fibromyalgia, migraines, and anxiety. Plus my battle with depression. It can be overwhelming.

Living with pain makes me crave comfort, so my creations are beautiful first, comfortable second, and durable third. Really, its almost a three way tie ;-). I test every design, and can help you chose what is best for your needs, including the need for affordable jewelry. I pour my heart and soul into my creations and many customers say they can feel it. I love that, I love hearing from my customers. It is as much a part of my therapy as the jewelry-making.

I make side clasp necklaces, bracelets with magnets, soft corded necklaces comfortable to wear in bed, smooth, soft designs, light weight earrings and much more. Of course I also have designs for those with allergies.

My style changed a great deal after that major health crisis. I am still recovering, and may never be able to work at a desk again. I came to accept my new limitations. Also, after being extremely weak and dependant, I learned to appreciate the beauty around me much more. I decided life is too precious to waste it trying to please others, though I do strive to please my customers!

My creativity is an essential distraction and inspiration, as well as an important source of income. Without it, I would not have most of my assistive devices.

The one thing I have learned above all else is that there are many ways around an obstacle. You don't always have to accept it. A life with pain is difficult, but it can be a happy life. I write more about my life with chronic pain in my blog on my website.

I design and create all my jewelry, with about quarter of my designs being one-of-a-kind and the rest parts of specific collections. I especially repeat awareness and inspirational pieces, although most are unique in some way.

In 2015, I created a special non-profit project that is featured in my shop. Care packages are sent to people with chronic illness who are really suffering physically, emotionally and financially. Mostly, I want to reach out to people who are at a risk of falling into deep depression. It is a forgotten aspect of chronic illness. I have made donating simple and affordable. New in 2016, I have added a KDS Forever collection, jewelry designed for you, made to last! I will be building on that collection all year. I'm quite ecclectic, so many styles are represented, and MANY are not yet shown in this shop. I make a new piece most weeks, thats a lot of jewelry!
