Thank you for visiting our "story". White Collar Workshop is our small business where we make both handmade and machined items. The "shop" is actually dedicate space in our basement, that over time has bloomed into a really neat space to design and create. Most of the work is done by me, Greg, and my wife, Carrie. And we try to get our kids involved too, as much as possible, after school and on weekends, and when we can drag them away from their iPads and video games.

Our goal is to grow the woodworking and maker business organically. The journey into woodworking and creating began with my involvement with my oldest son's first Pinewood Derby as a Cub Scout. At first, I wasn't really sure how to go about it, but as I got deeper into it, I started to develop a real interest in building the derby car, but adding creativity and bringing that creativity to life in the details. After that point, I was hooked! I started to build more things and acquire more tools to broaden my horizons in woodworking and creating. I am a CFO (hence the White Collar in the name) by day, but during my off time, I spend a lot of time in the workshop honing my skills.

My first build was a unique corn hole set that I listed online for sale and when the buyer showed up to make the purchase, she noticed some of my work and asked if I could make her a specific piece to go on her wall in her home. I was happy to do so and it was then that I had my first customer that requested something custom. She loved her piece and told her friend, and her friend wanted something similar. And from that point, more people were slowly inquiring and I wanted to expand my reach to more people. My wife, Carrie, got involved in the creative side when she noticed that some of my designs needed that "woman's touch", and from that point, Carrie's creative juices started flowing and she too, was hooked. And this is what has led White Collar Workshop to Etsy and social media. We are very appreciative of all those who have purchased our items and also those who have shown interest in our products and our story.
