5 out of 5 stars"The Beginning" is not just a candle; it's more akin to alchemy. It's a photorealistic, night-blooming, narcotic floral scent that is hauntingly authentic, that's both familiar and exotic at the same time. I've spent 40+ years immersed in candles, incense, essential oils, and perfumes, and nothing else can compete with this. If you're into luxury candles (or not), you have to experience this candle at least once. It's a real achievement in this field of work and art.

4 out of 5 starsIn terms of scent, these are super high quality candles. Very complicated and atmospheric aromas that smell interesting and expensive. In terms of the candle light itself though, on the smaller size that I bought at least, the light itself is unusually tiny and fragile for a candle, even without having trimmed the wick; the actual flame is much weaker than with a beeswax candle and prone to easily going out.

Do you offer personalized candle for my wedding / event / corporate gift, etc.?
Yes, though we do require a minimum order for personalization. Please contact us, for information or check out our Bespoke page for more information.
I've heard I need to trim the wick. Why?
Yes! Always trim the wick to about 1/4" before lighting your candle. This will keep the candle from smoking and will allow it to burn its best. A wick that's too long or too short will cause uneven burn and decreases the life of the candle.
My candle isn't burning to the edge of the container.! How do I stop this from happening?
The first burn is the most important! When you bring your new candle home and light it for the first time, make sure you'll be around for a while. Light the candle, and let it burn in a draft-free area until the pool of melted wax reaches the edges of the container. This can take up to three hours, so be patient! If you don't allow the candle to burn to the edges on the first burn, it most likely won't ever get there on future burns. If for any reason the wick becomes off-center while burning, always be sure to blow it out and recenter it before the wax dries.
How do I repurpose my candle?
1. When only 1/4 inch of wax remains, it's time to give that candle a new life! Don't burn a candle with less than 1/4 of wax remaining, that's not safe.
2. Use a spoon to scoop out the remaining wax and wick, and wipe out any excess wax using a small rag. Feel free to wash the container with warm water, too. A dab of rubbing alcohol helps to remove wax and can go a long way in removing greasy residue.
3. Now the fun part. Fill your empty Aerangis candle jar with your favorite potted plant or succulent, toothbrushes or makeup brushes in the bathroom, pens and pencils on your desk - the possibilities are endless.
