Effective but white cast
Very good and protective sunscreen but leaves some white cast that can easily be blended out with good massaging on the face.

Feels great BUT...
Product has a great consistency, especially for a mineral sunscreen (despite having oily skin, I’ve found most mineral sunscreens don’t agree with me). Doesn’t sting the eyes. Efficient protection without needing to constantly reapply. HOWEVER, the white cast is quite severe. I’ve only worn this when I’m in my own garden or applied a decent amount of makeup on top. Wish it was tinted.

Gorgeous SPF
I love this sunscreen. Yes it does leave a little bit of a white cast, I have olive skin, but it fades super quickly and leaves my skin feeling amazing.

Dried my skin, my melasma spot got worse.
I used to use ultra sun which was good but I decided to try this as it was branded as more natural for the same level of SPF protection. I thought it was lovely at first even though it was more of a thick cream consistency than Ultrasun, it was mattifying, did not irritate my skin and smelt herbal. However, I realised over time it was actually really drying out my skin. I thought it was the winter weather at first and unfortunately used this for over a year. Since I have stopped, my moisturiser goes such a long way now. It lasts twice as long as it used to when using this. I am slightly annoyed I did not realise sooner as this could have impacted my skin ageing due to dehydration from the REN SPF. Now trying Paula's Choice spf and so far so good. May go back to Ultrasun also.

One of the best I’ve tried
I love this product. I am SE Asian and have struggled with finding a good, non-greasy sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast. This ticks all the boxes. On my 2nd tube now.

Beautiful SPF
Ren skincare sunscreen is amazing it has protected been kind and gentle to my skin. I have repurchased this a few times now and each time it has been amazing 10/10 From me. Clean scent. Light weight so not heavy your skin can breath. The minerals helped my skin. It’s a firm favourite I recommend it.

Great sunscreen
I recently went to Greece to visit family and wanted reef and sea friendly sunscreen. I have used so many since I found out how important SPF is and have had breakouts and oily skin because of them. I love Korean spf but it can be hard to come by and I wanted something more clean and eco friendly. This one is really good and does prevent sun damage. I do need to reply when in the sun all day. It does leave a white cast at first - but it does fade. I am very fair/light skin I am unsure if it would be suitable for women of colour, especially with darker skin tones. This can be a bit heavy and in the heat I did feel alittle sweaty/claustophobic when putting this on - but if you have a fan. I use it every day now and really love it.

Brilliant SPF
Not sure they there are so many mixed reviews for this product. I put off buying this sunscreen for so long because of all the comments I had read, but since falling pregnant this was one (of only a handful) of facial spf’s that had the safest natural ingredients. So I decided to take the plunge. It is my new favourite and I cannot believe I took so long to buy it! Yes, it does come out white and medium-thick consistency, but a few swipes over the face and it melts in beautifully and even brightens and blurs my pores. It doesn’t take much to blend in and the scent is so relaxing. Keeps me shine free, and I have very oily skin, and make up sits so nicely on top! If you are also on the fence about this product I would highly recommend!

A bit cakey/ chalky
This sunscreen is long-lasting and doesn't irritate the skin. That being said, it is prone to piling and is mattifying to the point of making the skin look dull and dry. I am a pasty ginger woman and it leaves a white cast noticeable even for me, so I am not sure people with deeper skin tones will enjoy this sunscreen. For the price, I won't be purchasing again.

Not people of colour friendly
I’ve never looked so purple in my life. This definitely is not a friendly SPF for people of colour, especially people with darker tones. You will most certainly look purple and it’s way too much effort to get the product to sink into your skin. My daughter who’s 2 kept saying “mummy purple”. Won’t be purchasing again.
