  • "The house was absolutely perfect."

A group of us stayed here for a week and it was everything I had hoped for and more. The property owners were great and sorted a couple of requests out immediately. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space as well as large social areas. We loved the hot tub. The location is great, enough into the country to feel away from everything but only a 10 minute drive into the local town. I would love to come back one day.

Thank you Natalie for such a complimentary review following your stay for your special celebration. Of course we are thrilled the house was everything you hoped it would be, but equally happy you were able to appreciate its wonderful rural setting whilst being so close to our vibrant local market town of Malton. We have it all in this fabulous part of God's own County and that's why I am so happy to call it 'Home'! Come and stay for longer next time, there is so much more to see and do! Property Owner

Standing in spectacular countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds just 16 miles North of York, Sykes Lodge sits in its own parkland setting.

Situated just 4 miles from the vibrant Market Town of Malton, known for its wealth of artisan food producers, exceptional places to eat and drink and range of independent retailers, it is consistently named by The Times as one of the best places to live.

At the gateway to the Moors and Wolds it is close to some of the best entertainment and tourist attractions you will find anywhere.

You will never be short of places to visit or things to do in the great outdoors whilst spending time at Sykes Lodge with destinations such as Castle Howard, The North York Moors Steam Railway, Eden Camp, Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land and the ever popular seaside towns and beaches of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, all within a 45 minute drive.

If just walking the dog and taking in the magnificent scenery is your thing, the North Yorkshire Moors and Wolds offer hundreds of miles of footpaths interspersed with artisan bakeries and tearooms to refresh you along the way.
