These little paintbrush rests will keep your paint brushes organised while painting and prevent paint from being transferred onto your work surface.

I've been hand making these in my London studio for several years. They are carved from stoneware clay by hand, and fired to over 1200 degrees Celsius, and then sanded before each individually brush rest is glazed with four layers of glaze. Each batch takes two weeks from start to finish. I love the process and the end result, which is a beautiful and practical handmade item that will last for a lifetime.

There is enough space in between each holding space for varied brush sizes or calligraphy pens and quills.

There is a little hole in the rest for an incense stick for use during painting or when resting from painting, making a great gift for any artist.

The brush rests are washable in warm/hot soapy water.

Tip: You don't need a fancy container for your water. Glass jars are best!
