The pattern is for a mix of hand and machine sewing, but it can be sewn entirely by hand.

Materials required (not supplied)

Fabric – 1 fat quarter or more, depending on the size of pumpkin made.
Felt for the stalk—scraps 3 inches square or larger. Wool felt gives a better result, but you can use synthetic. Die cut felt leaves (ours were from www.lilacsprig.etsy.com) or green felt to cut your own
Polyester Stuffing
Quilting cotton or any other strong thread—you need to be able to pull it tight and it not break
Embroidery silks or crochet cotton
Long tapestry or doll making needle

Equipment – (ideal but not essential)
Sewing machine
Rotary cutter
Cutting board and rulers
