Announcement    As you might see here, most of my jewelry ideas come from my love for animals and the nature that I enjoy being in. I so love what I do, but I am more hoping that my pieces will create conversation and change for the animals, plants, and humans we share this Earth with. All pieces start with a thought in my head, an article read, a picture seen, a situation I have been in, and then it is drawn onto paper. From paper it is then cut out, shaped within torch fire, soldered, and hand polished in my beloved studio in my backyard in central Massachusetts.

There is not one element within my jewelry designs that I did not make by hand. Nothing is cast, instead I carve them while they are molten in my torch flame. Afterwards they are refined even more using tiny files, burrs, and tools I have made specifically for my jewelry carving. Because of the way I create, every piece is one of a kind. What you are wearing, you will never see on another human on this planet. Ever.

There are so many other pieces on my website that are not here on Etsy! There, you can also sign up for my newsletter and receive surprise discounts and giveaways that are not here on Etsy.

Very often, with almost every piece I sell, I donate part of the sale to different animals and humans needing our help. It is the least I can do and makes creating even more worth it for me. I post about these often on my social media -

Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/stripedcatmetalworks/
Please come take a look and follow along so we can help together!

I am as conscious as possible about where I buy all of my supplies. Unfortunately, as with anything involving a decision, animals and humans often times suffer because of our choices. That even includes gemstones, metals, and saw blade lubricant! All of my pieces come to you in recycled and recyclable materials that are not only beautiful but good for the planet.

I enjoy chatting with people about our shared love for plants and animals. I also have a blog on my personal website where you can see more!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Because I work to make most pieces from scratch after you purchase them, they are one of a kind pieces made just for you. I do not accept returns because of this. The time and heart that it takes to make your piece for you. If you would like to exchange your piece for another I have in my shop we can discuss that and decide together.

Care instructions

I often forget to remind my customers that the recycled gift boxes I send my pieces in contain a layer of *fluff*. That fluff was created to help your natural metal jewelry oxidize less quickly. Oxidation is natural & safe. Please hold onto your box with that fluff for your piece to stay in when not being worn. Most of my pieces are given a darkening patina and that will fade with time. The more often it is polished or cleaned will also lessen that patina. I advise not wearing your jewelry in the shower, swimming, or on your hands while you wash them because soaps can affect your metals happiness as well. If you ever had a question about how to polish or clean something that I have made for you, please don't hesitate to send me a message!

Creating custom pieces for you

I love creating pieces of jewelry for others that they help me create! If you have an idea of something that you would like to wear or gift to a loved one please just ask and let's see what we can make together!

Overseas orders

I do ship overseas to other countries all the time! When you check out, you are able to choose the type of shipping your jewelry will be treated to. There is no insurance put on your package if you choose the least expensive shipping option. I do not recommend that. What you ordered for yourself is one of a kind. I DO suggest that you contact me to add insurance to your package so you can breath a little easier while it is on it's way to you.
