  • "We had a great stay here."

The sail loft is clean, cosy, adequately equipped and location just perfect. We explored a new beach every day and came back to a piping hot shower and a relaxing evening. Would definitely stay here again .

  • "Both taps sink/bathroom not very good, car parking could be a bit closer?"

Thank you very much for your feedback. I am sorry if the parking description on the website is not clear. The parking space for this chalet is very close. I have emailed you to establish the problem with the taps so I can put them right for the future. Property Owner

I think there should be some hooks in the cupboard to hang your coats nowhere to hang them also no floor mop and some one should clean outside windows covered in spiders and cobwebs lol

Thank you for your feedback it is very useful to know these things. I will make sure we get some hooks put up in the cupboard. It seems the mop has disappeared so I will replace this and the windows are due for cleaning next week. Thank you once again. Hope you had a good holiday. Property Owner

  • "We were so pleased when we walked in to The Sail Loft - it was so light and welcoming and clean."

We were delighted to find a washing machine and slimline dishwasher, even though we ended up not using them. The welcome pack of sachets of tea and coffee and dishwasher tablets were gratefully received. We didn't spot the instruction manuals until making sure we had everything when packing because they were on the top shelf of the cupboard housing the electricity meter. The beds were heavenly, so comfortable and the bedding felt like really good quality. The reason I have dropped a rating on comfort is the sofa - it's really low so difficult to get back up of, especially for my 81 year old.mum, and the cushions kept sliding everywhere - just something to be aware of when it's replaced? It's also worth noting the 2 high steps into the property. The kitchen was well equipped. The one thing I would love them to do is mark out the property's correct parking space in the car park so that you don't feel you are using someone else's space - I would have felt quite uncomfortable if the place was busier (we went outside of school holidays). I would definitely book this again.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. Unfortunately we are not responsible for the parking area and we are waiting for various works to start to improve the surroundings. Car park will be one of them. I note what you say about the sofa and when replaced we will Definitely be buying a higher one. definitely make sure it’s Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed staying at the sail loft."

It is a lovely property. However we did find the seating was very low for us. Also l found the step to get into the property was to high for me , l have some mobility problems, and had to be helped up the step. May be another step could be put down, or a handle put up.It would make access to the property easier. Again may l say we still very much staying, at the sail loft.

Thank you for the positive feedback. We have noted your comments and will look into making access improvements. Property Owner

  • "Really lovely chalet."

Excellent standard of decor. We had everything we needed. Couldn't get over how quiet and peaceful the site was (admittedly it was out of the school holidays).

  • "The Sail loft is an amazing place to stay."

The place is clean and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable including a washer/dryer. There is no Wi-Fi which would have been nice so we could have watched movies when the weather was really bad!!! The location is great, supermarkets a few minutes drive away and Park and ride so you can Visit Dartmouth without the hassle of parking. Lots of other places a short drive away. We hope to return soon.

About the location

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
