  • "Lovely little find!"

Quiet and remote, but close enough to so many gorgeous places. The barn itself had everything we needed, for my husband and I plus our Labrador and 18 month old! Would definitely recommend.

  • "Although we had a nice little stay the scenery was amazing and you could see mountains, countryside & the sea."

The bottle of Prosecco was most welcome. We were a little disappointed by the size of the property, very small the photos made it looked bigger. To improve the property there needs to be more cutlery & dishes as limited also instructions on how to use the hot tub as was a wood fired one and we did not use it while we were there. It would have been nice for this to be ready to use on the day we arrived. If you want isolation then this is the place to stay but as warned in write up the road to the property is bad.

  • "Really lovely cottage in the perfect location."

The wood fired hot tub was great and we enjoyed using the log burner on chilly nights. The cottage is well equipped and cleanly. Comfy bed. We were going to bring a chess board and upon opening the blanket box we found one along with some blankets which were great to get cosy on the sofa and watch TV. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for somewhere isolated and quiet. Going out into the garden and being surrounded by cows and a lovely view was fantastic. The owners were very helpful and only a phone call/text away if you need help finding the property or if we needed some extra logs. We were also left a lovely bottle of Prosecco which was a nice touch :) Would definitely stay again in the future.

It was very well equipped for self catering. There were lots of towels provided and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the decor and the nice touches such as a robe and slippers each and the welcome Prosecco. For star gazers the sky around there is so clear and I would include this feature in the description. We didn't use the hot tub so can't comment on that. It was a shame however, that there wasn't a pub in walking distance as had been stated.

The cottage was immaculate, so cosy and very well equipped. The complimentary fudge and Prosecco was such a lovely touch! The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the countryside and the ocean. We found it to be a perfect base for walks and hikes in the surrounding area, giving us access to so many different places within 40 minutes or less. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and were always available if we needed them. We would definitely recommend Ty Coch to anyone thinking of spending a few days in the Welsh countryside for a relaxing weekend away or as a base for a busy active day.

Great hosts, very helpful and friendly (including their doggos ☺️) We had a very relaxing week (Jan 23) it's the perfect place to unwind. The views were some of the best we've seen. Lots of dog friendly beaches and walks near by (the road to the barn is a farmers track but if you take it gentle driving it's fine) I wouldn't hesitate in recommending and will definitely keep in mind for another break towards the end of the year x

  • "We had a lovely stay, the accommodation was fantastic, nice and private with obviously amazing views and very peaceful."

There were a couple of things which could have been improved that would have made our stay even better however. We were planning to cook most meals so to not leave the dogs, but it was made difficult with a lack of utensils, such as there only being one small knife. The toilet wasn't attached or fixed to the wall/floor, under the bed was very dirty and the lighting was very dark, which made things difficult sometimes with it being winter. There was also no dishwasher tablets, and only a small amount of kitchen roll and toilet roll, so we needed to purchase these during our stay of only 4 days. We also appreciate the property is located ona working farm, however there was clearly a space behind the wardrobe where a mouse lived and the noise it made during the night woke both of us multiple times. Otherwise it was an idyllic, peaceful retreat, perfect to spend time walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Due to circumstances,we had to bring our daughter with us. What can I say Lola and Owen are amazing went above and beyond. When we arrived they had a bed and sleeping bag and even left games for her. We also had a welcome gift a bottle of champagne and strawberries and a bar of chocolate. They had sprinkled rose petals everywhere even made a heart on the bed, it made me feel like bursting into tears happy ones. The hot tub was amazing it was well needed after trekking in the mountains. There was so many added touches like remote candles, soft towels, dressing gowns. • "Ty Coch is SUCH a gorgeous cottage!"

The views are stunning, the hot tub is amazing, the hosts are so so lovely! It was such a magical trip and we’re definitely hoping to return next year! One thing to note is that although the cottage is technically on one level, if you do have accessibility needs or are disabled there are quite a lot of deep steps. And if you’re a fat or plus sized person (like myself!) the toilet is uncomfortable as it’s very close to the wall and sink. So be mindful of those if you have specific needs. But I would absolutely, 100% recommend this cottage! Such a wonderful holiday

  • "Spectacular views on a sunny day, very very peaceful and secluded."

Hot tub is a great, does take a lot of wood and time to heat up but we’ll worth it for relaxing in after a day of walking. The barn is small and compact but has been made comfortable and cosy. More glasses and mugs rather than just 2 and a bit more cutlery would have been better as even though it’s for 2 people, you don’t want to have to wash up or put the dishwasher on after breakfast in order to have things to use at dinner time - we were eating in a lot to save money. The water supply to the bathroom is a bit annoying, very slow and the shower is intermittent , boiling, freezing or okay !! But all part of the adventure in the hills. Nice little touches like remote candles , soft fluffy towels and extra towels, plenty of tea towels and oven gloves the robes and slippers were very appreciated. Comfortable out door furniture, perfect for a day relaxing enjoying the spectacular views. Nice bottle of Asti left for arrival. All in all a great place for a peaceful cosy retreat in a beautiful part of Wales the photos of the views don’t do them justice you need to be there.

We loved every minute. The views were to die for and as the weather was particularly good all week we had sea views all day every day. I’ve listed what you get and it’s long! Superb views and exellent beaches nearby Lots of fab kitchen appliances Peaceful location Cracking hot tub with views!! Everything well equiped Outside blankets heaven when windy in the mornings Picnic set for outside All garden furniture brill in each area Fridge with big freezer compartment fab for our dog food! Comfy bed, loved it Lovely fluffy towels Nice touch with dressing gowns and slippers (Many thanks for prosecco too) Plenty big enough for 2 plus dog I really could go on. Owen was easy to get hold of for any questions we had and we had a ready supply of chopped wood for hot tub as we used it every day. Looking at those views whilst in there with a glass of bubbles was heaven. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful little get away to re charge your batteries.

The hosts were easy to contact and nothing was too much trouble, they even came to warm the hot tub up whilst we were out sight seeing. The area is amazing for dogs, our 8 month old puppy loved the outdoor space and exploring. The host left a bottle of Prosecco and some chocolates which was lovely. The guidebook was brilliant and we visited the potted lobster for a meal with the dog and it was amazing! Will definitely be returning and thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • "We had an amazing time at Ty Coch!"

This was our first time in Wales and it was better than we could have imagined. Ty Coch was a beautiful base to explore - the views and location were excellent, the silence around is wonderful and just what we wanted, the hot tub was well worth the learning curve of lighting a wood-burner it and the facilities inside were lovely, too - a super comfy bed is just what you need after all that walking! If you aren’t confident with wood-burning fires (for the hot tub) then contact the owners who were more than willing to come help! In fact - they were great all the way through our stay! Checking in that everything was okay the first night, sorting a dripping noise (a water filter) very quickly and helping us light the fire were just a few things they did to help out and make us feel at home! Also, when we arrived we were greeted by a cold bottle of Prosecco and a bar of chocolate! A really lovely surprise which was very much enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks so much for making our first time in Wales such a special one! We will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend to anyone who enjoys being secluded somewhere beautiful to relax.

It wasn't a problem for us, as we don't mind not having a drink while out. We did some shopping for our stay & glad we didn't buy too much as the fridge is small with a freezer compartment in the top & only one narrow cupboard for anything else. We ate sat on the sofa when we stayed in as you can't get your legs under the table, which was a shame. But overall the place is a little gem, in a beautiful setting. We stayed in October & can only image how wonderful it would be in the summer.
