Absolutely NO coil whine at all, passive or under load and extremely quiet fans
I can only mimic the other reviews of this card, 2.8 ghz out of the box, the noise level of the card is the best I've owned it doesn't seem to get any louder underload than what it is at idle while keeping temperatures very low it mostly sits in the lower 50's underload an mid 20's while idle. Almost every game I've played hits 4k 120, has zero coil wine & the build quality feels premium also the card itself looks much better in person than it does in the pictures & comes with an rgb anti-sag bracket plus an optional extra fan for the back of the card. I do have 2 very minor nit-picks the first is a lack of dual bio's & second is there's no eco mode like the last few cards I've owned the fans would completely stop while idle dropping the system a few decibels and also keeping the card free of dust for longer periods. Personally I would not have considered a KFA2 card if it was not for the card selling @ msrp of Nvidias own base model but now after seeing the quality of their coolers my next card may also be KFA2 it really does blow away my last few cards from more reputable vendor's I'm very happy with it!
After trying different brand RTX 4090 cards including high end ASUS ( both tuf and strix ), Aorus, Gigabyte, and even the Supreme X and being plagued by annoying coil whine on some and clock speed issues/RGB & fan problems i was ready to just give up and keep what i had, but then i decided to try the KFA2 RTX 4090 as it is owned by GALAX a well known GPU manufacturer, theres no coil whine on any fan speeds, fan run perfectly on auto and the fan stop works perfectly when the systems passive cooling hits the big array of fins at the back , i'm using mine vertically mounted without the extra fourth fan and it stays cool at 53 degrees while 4k gaming at 120 fps easy, boosting to 2.8+ mhz out the box and hits over 3.0+ mhz with the one click overclock, it can easily go higher but i'm running mine at stock and using only the one click overclock setting in the KFA2 software for warranty purposes. This card was originally released at MSRP of 1599 but the price was quickly ramped up as soon as the good reviews came flooding in, it's currently at 1748.99 but i suspect it will go up again as this really is a top tier RTX 4090 and once retailers catch wind of that they will price it accordingly with those higher prices cards. I've been playing Hogwart's legacy all settings Ultra maxed out, with maxed out Raytracing and hitting 4K 120FPS on my 4K oled. I can't recommend this card enough, especially after the disappointment of the others.
