Bring the magic of the ocean to your bookshelf with this Little Mermaid book nook, inspired by the story, written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The little mermaid watches from a rock as the prince's ship approaches his coastal castle. Under the sea, the mermaid castle hides amongst the lively coral reefs.

This artwork is designed to fit between books on a shelf, but the outside of the artwork is decorated so that you can display it outside of your book case as well. In low light, flip the switch on top to illuminate the fireworks and undersea coral. It is crafted from laser-cut, 1/8" Baltic Birch plywood and includes 3d printed elements.

This is a DIY kit and does require assembly. Included are all of the elements that you see in the finished example, including wood acrylic, and lighting kit. Detailed instructions are included. To build the kit you will need duct or painter's tape, wood glue, and 3 AA-batteries.
