Shielding you from much more than just the sun, the Guard's Up Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35 protects you on all fronts – from environmental pollution, electronic pollution (because TikTok is a time-stealing vortex) and the sun.
Offering its services without a trace of chalkiness or white cast, this creamy and lightweight formula delivers a natural finish that looks neither too dewy nor too matte. Oil free and powered by 15.2% non-nano zinc oxide, (which is the safest SPF active available as it won’t penetrate the epidermis or harm marine wildlife), this formula works on the skin’s surface to physically prevent rays from penetrating. Broad-spectrum protection (that’s protection against UVA and UVB rays, FYI) joins an array of antioxidants in safeguarding you from blue light, and amino acid-rich sea fennel extract boosts your elastin levels to firm and add bounce. Plus, moringa seed extract boasts vitamin C and encourages the production of collagen, and aloe leaf extract attracts and retains moisture while soothing skin.
HOW: Gently smooth an even, generous layer (about the size of a coin) onto skin. Because mineral SPF acts as a barrier, sitting on the surface of the skin, do smooth it on—don’t rub it in the way you would a moisturizer. Use a light touch with this and any products you apply after to avoid makeup pilling.
WHERE: Face and neck. Bonus points for hands—after your eyes, hands are the number two spot that gives away age.
WHEN: AM (every AM), after your moisturizer has fully absorbed into your skin. If wearing makeup, allow 2-3 minutes for the sunscreen to sink in before applying primer or other cosmetics. Reapply every 2 hours when in direct sunlight or getting wet.
GOOD TO KNOW: Even though mineral sunscreen goes to work right away, we recommend following the FDA guidelines to wait 15 minutes before sun exposure. And remember: No sunscreen is a replacement for staying out of the sun. Use before the expiration date printed on the crimp on the tube.

I love this for my dry skin… I found a lot of sun creams are drying or to oily but this is perfect! Also doesn’t leave a white casteÂ

Don’t love it
I loved how it blended into my skin (I’m pale but not that pale) however it felt so thick once applied like wearing a mask and I could feel sweat just sitting on top of it. Couldn’t stand the feeling of it so I gave up with this spf.

Strong Mineral Sunscreem
Overall a really good mineral sunscreen. The texture is nice and thin which makes it super easy to blend in, and m gives it a gorgeous glowy finish. Personally, my biggest issue is just the bottle - I find the cap gets messy super quick, and it doesn’t travel well. I would say for fellow pale girls, don’t be put off by the ‘tint’ - it’s undetectable even on my NC10 skin! However, I really don’t know how well this would work for deeper skin tones, I think it would leave a white cast so might be one to avoid.Â

Excellent sunscreen
I love this SPF. I don’t like wearing foundation because I find it too heavy so this tinted SPF is a perfect substitute. You cannot feel it on your skin, it doesn’t pill and it isn’t overpriced. I only knocked 1 star off because it can feel greasy if you use too much by accident.Â

Great but probably not for some people
Loved this product as it has a nice tint to it. But bear in mind I have quite pale skin and I think for people with a darker skin colour, it would leave a white cast.Â

Left a cast of my medium skin, did not blend well at all. Wasn’t able to make this work whatsoever

Great under makeup
I really like this spf. It sinks in nicely leaving a matte finish. Some face spfs leave me looking too shiny and can sting my eyes - I didn’t have these problems with this spf. It also works well under makeup, I didn’t have problems with piling. I will repurchase but I wish it came in an spf 50 so I could get it in the summer.Â

Clean sunscreen, no white cast (because it’s tinted) and natural finish. But waiting SPF50, 35 it’s not enough.

Ok BUT Not My Fave
I was previously using the La Roche Posay ANTHELIOS INVISIBLE FLUID SPF50+ but I wanted to try a mineral SPF. I've used a few products from Versed before and have loved them so naturally was curious about their SPF. On days I'm not wearing any base makeup, I don't mind this SPF. It has a nice demi-matte finish however I find it pills in my stubble no matter how much I work it in. Under make up is a no go for me. It pills unless you're using a tiny (and I mean TINY) amount of product even with a very light hand.
