**Knitting Pattern - Digital Download**
When my sister asked me to make her a cable knit vest, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to use the cable pattern that had been floating around in my head for a while. Thus, the Arcuate Vest was created! It is a versatile piece of clothing that can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. I have knit one sample (grey) in wool, which is more suitable for fall and winter layering and another sample (blue) in cotton to make a breezy tank top for the spring and summer months.
The Arcuate Vest is knit bottom up with an alternating cable pattern that is easy to memorize. It includes written and charted instructions. It also includes shoulder shaping so that the vest drapes nicely on the body.
SIZING
Size 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) correspond with a bust measurement of 75-85 (85-95, 95-105, 105-115, 115-125, 125-135, 135-145, 145-155) cm/ 29.5-33.5 (33.5-37.4, 37.4-41.3, 41.3-45.3, 45.3-49.2, 49.2-53.1, 53.1-57.1, 57.1-61.0) inches.
The final measurement of the garment will be 89 (100, 111, 122, 134, 145, 156, 167) cm/ 35.0 (39.4, 43.7, 48.0, 52.8, 57.1, 61.4, 65.7) inches.
The vest is meant to be worn with 5-20 cm/2-7.9 inches of positive ease. This means that the finished object will measure 5-20cm larger than your bust measurement. To customize the vest you can choose less ease for a tighter fit and more ease for a looser fit. The grey sample shown is size 1 and knit with 9 cm/3.5 inches of positive ease and the blue is size 2 worn with 20cm/7.9 inches of ease.
Note: While all sizes have been tech edited, only sizes 1-4 have been test knitted. If you are interested in knitting sizes 5-8 please message me. I would be happy to provide you the pattern for free in exchange for some feedback on those sizes!
