The mandala represents “place of purity” a magic sphere cleared of spiritual obstacles. This mandala is so wonderfully hand painted that each and every detail of the mandala can be clearly visible. The mandala is composed of 17 lines of mantra in the circular form. Om Mani Padme Hum is repeated 108 times.

The six syllables, om mani padme hum, mean that in dependence on the practice of a path which is an indivisible union of method and wisdom, you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha”

The outer line of the circle is carved with lotus petals. Lotus petals are the symbol of peace and prosperity. The four corners of the mandala are decorated with beautiful flowers.

Thangka's are used as meditation tool which helps to bring one further down the path of enlightenment. This is perfect size for the decoration piece. It can be decorated in wall's of home, offices and other's.

It is a beautiful addition to my dining room. When I first received it, there was an unpleasant odor coming from it. They told me it was because it was freshly painted and that I needed to air it for a few days. The smell was gone after 2 days. I had it framed and am admiring its beauty.

I was definitely surprised by the quality of the Thangka, it's just a stunning piece of work! I was also pleasantly surprised by the size. I knew the dimensions before I ordered but somehow once it arrived it just felt like it took up such more space, which I really love! I had a big wall that needed exactly this size Thangka. It took a few weeks to get it through German customs, but over all it went without a hitch.
