Electroforming is a metal forming process where copper is grown onto an object to create a unique and wearable piece of art.
· Copper is humanity's first metal - a copper pendant discovered in northern Iraq dates back over 10,000 years. It has been used for medicinal purposes in Ancient Egypt, Greece, and by the Aztecs. In mythology, it has the ability to conduct spiritual energy and amplify thoughts.
An essential nutrient to all plants and animals, copper is found primarily in the bloodstream. When worn, it is said to emanate healing energies, and can ease arthritis and joint stiffness by allowing blocked energy to flow.
When exposed to chemicals, elements, and air, copper will tarnish and darken. After contact with human skin where it can interact with air, sweat, oils, and lotions, it can leave a harmless blue/green mark on the skin - this will easily wash off. Reactions occur most for those with an acidic body chemistry - this usually results from a diet with lots of processed food and not enough water or fresh veggies. For this reason, wearing copper jewellery can also be a great indicator of health.
