The Gwendolyn Hooded Cape is a head-turning feminine garment and perfect for staying warm on blustery days. The generous hood softly frames the face and the wavy cables create multitudes of lofty air pockets holding warmth against the shoulders, chest and back. Capes are a wonderful layering garment during changing weather temperatures.
This stunning cape is easy to knit and can be customized in length.
There is a button closure at the neckline and other buttonholes are optional and hidden within the cables. You may also choose to knit I-cord ties instead of having buttons.
Using Cascade Eco bulky weight yarn and large needles, it knits up more quickly than imagined. This cape is a nice pattern for beginners who want to practice cabling and other knitters as well.
