This version of the Q2 is designed by Hodinkee, a world-class e-commerce site beloved by watch enthusiasts. With a colour scheme similar to the Leica M 10-P Ghost Edition, it sports an elegant light grey paint finish inspired by the rare grey bezel found in the legendary Rolex Submariner Ghost Bezel. Full grain cowhide armouring in a darker grey colour wraps around the camera to provide protection against the elements thanks to its natural texture and special coating. A grey carrying strap is also included, making using and carrying the camera comfortable and practical.

Versatile Fixed Lens

The Leica Q2 is fitted with a fixed Leica Summilux 28mm f1.7 ASPH lens. This lens has an advanced lens structure made up of 11 glass elements in 9 groups, which includes 3 aspherical elements. This structure not only provides pin-sharp images but the aspherical elements dramatically reduce the appearance of chromatic aberrations that plague lesser lenses. As a 28mm lens, this wider focal length lends itself to the likes of street, architecture or portrait photography, and its maximum f1.7 aperture provides greater control of depth of field, selective focus and allows for effective shooting in lower-light situations.

The features don’t stop there. This prime lens is accompanied by the advanced system that is the Q2 body. It offers an integrated digital zoom enabling you to choose your frame with focal lengths of 28mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm, all whilst retaining the camera’s native 47.3-megapixel image resolution. What’s the difference between this and the standard version?

This model has a different visual design and specialised accessories designed by Hodinkee. All technical features and performances are identical to the Q2 series camera.

Can I get GPS location in the EXIF data with this camera?

This can be achieved by using the Leica FOTOS app. When you have an active connection to the FOTOS app, the app will write the GPS info (latitude, longitude and elevation) into the Exif data of the images.

Is the optical viewfinder comfortable for people who wear eyeglasses?

By all means! You can easily adjust the diopter knob for more comfortable viewing.

Can the Q2 battery be charged in-camera?

No, there is no USB or HDMI port and therefore the battery must be charged outside the camera.
