CHILLY CHARLIE PENGUIN KNITTING PATTERN
Knit up a penguin! Chilly Charlie is the perfect little present for penguin fans. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the penguin is knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round). Charlie is worked in DK yarns (double knitting/light worsted). He’s chock-full of simple increases and decreases, in garter and stocking stitch. Use a mix of appliqué and intarsia to create his white tummy and inquisitive eyes, with sweet black buttons for the finishing touch.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 3)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/295m skein in each shade. 

NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming, Toy filling, Domed buttons for eyes

SIZES
One size only - 16cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.

Perfect! Result was just as shown on the pattern, a delightful little penguin. I really enjoyed knitting this little chap, the pattern was easy to follow, first time knitting intarsia for me so I had to do a google search for that, but just so happy with the final result
