Crochet pattern for a classic and attractive man’s scarf.
This item is a CROCHET PATTERN for a man’s crocheted scarf. It is NOT A FINISHED scarf. It is a digital document that you purchase to download. The document consists of detailed written crochet INSTRUCTIONS and numerous how-to photos that together explain how to crochet the scarf -- for someone special; you included!
This KnotYourselfOut crochet scarf is named: MANLY-MAN SCARF.
I LOVE this scarf, and had so much fun designing it! As a crocheter, you were likely drawn to it because of the seemingly complex diamond design and the use of multiple colors. You recognize that these effects are not easy to achieve in crochet -- especially all together in one project -- but this scarf is actually quite easy to make. It utilizes a simple technique I developed called Reversible Image Crochet. This technique eliminates the carrying of multiple strands of yarn. It also gives you clear images that are identical (in opposing colors) on both sides of your work! That’s right, this scarf is COMPLETELY REVERSIBLE! I hope you will give crocheting it a try. I taught this Reversible Image Crochet technique recently, at the Creative Festival in Toronto, and the feedback from my students was really, really positive.
Thank you for checking out my Manly-Man Scarf crochet pattern!
It was designed and crocheted mainly at a family member’s cottage on Georgian Bay in the middle of July! The group we were spending time with did not include another crocheter, but there was still a lot of interest in Etsy, the design process, the technique and yarn used, and especially the scarf’s look. The finished scarf was photographed on a late-winter day in front of the historic Carpet Factory building in Liberty Village in Toronto.
This scarf would obviously make a lovely gift for a man, but it is suitable for a woman as well. My friend, Janet, said she would love to wear it. She has a very urban look and likes green and dark colors.
This crochet scarf pattern is suitable for an intermediate crocheter. It uses standard North American (United States and Canada) crochet terminology ONLY. It has been tested for clarity and accuracy by a professional crochet designer. In addition, and as mentioned earlier, it contains step-by-step how-to photos. I am confident this pattern will make for a happy crochet experience.
I am available to answer questions, should you have any.
Thanks again for stopping by.
