Out of the box commercial soils are far too heavy and do not provide the adequate air that succulents require in order to survive, much less thrive. We recommend our Premium Succulent & Cactus Mix for plants purchased from nurseries or garden centers as these bulk sellers often plant in dense commercial soils out of convenience and their environments lend to pest and soil diseases.
