I am thrilled...
that everyone who wears my jewelry knows they are getting a special piece of jewelry that expresses their personality.

Before I created S.E.W. What Bead Company, I wore the same bland, inexpensive pair of earrings every single day. I wore these earrings to school, to tennis practice, to family dinners - no matter the occasion or if they really matched my outfit - since I couldn’t find earrings I truly loved and valued.
Then one day, an earring fell out. I didn’t care that I couldn’t find it or that I would never be able to wear that pair of earrings again. I simply threw out the other boring earring without a passing thought. However, from that day, I vowed to wear beautiful and unique earrings that I truly loved.

But then...
I was concerned that people would only be interested in jewelry from internationally acclaimed jewelry companies.
But after many family members and friends wore my jewelry and received compliments, I realized that I was on to something.
I decided I would set out to create timeless, versatile, affordable jewelry for everyone.

It turns out...
The road was more difficult than I imagined.
Distinct, quality beads, gemstones, and materials were difficult to find at reasonable prices.

People questioned...
the uniqueness of each jewelry piece even though I spent hours ensuring that no two pieces of jewelry were exactly alike.
Consequently, I started to make jewelry with uncommon beads I found at antique and vintage stores. This opened more doors as word spread about the quality and individuality of my jewelry.
I feared being able to juggle my creative side with my dedication to helping students. I worried there wouldn’t be enough time to devote to both of my passions and roles - being a jewelry designer and being an elementary school counselor.

Despite my hesitation...
I debuted my first jewelry collection. The response has been extremely gratifying as everyone who sees my jewelry expresses their admiration for its beauty and uniqueness.
In addition, I am thrilled that I can support students even after the school day ends by donating 10% of proceeds to local public schools - “beads supporting kids to read and succeed.” With your support and generosity, over $1500 has been raised for public schools since 2019.

The best part?
I try to bring happiness and smiles to children through counseling and I try to bring the same joy to everyone through my jewelry.
