This kit contains everything you need to make a simple 7” wide x 12” tall wall hanging. You’ll find a picture of how I used these materials to create a tapestry, but feel free to change things up however you’d like. Experimentation is encouraged!

Starter Weaving Kit Contents

Small Wooden Loom - Working area is 7.25 inches wide by 10 inches tall. There are 27 notches.
Wooden Weaving Comb - Use this to push your woven rows up.
Blunt Tapestry Needle - 2.75 inches
Wooden Shuttle - 8" You won’t use them this time, but they will be useful later in your weaving journey!
Wooden Dowel - 8”
Instructions with Photos
Warp String - Sturdy cotton string, worsted weight
Roving - Unspun (poofy!) fiber. Don’t cut this with scissors. Pull it apart gently with your hands.
Various yarns and fibers- I do my best to include the exact yarns in the photo, but I occasionally substitute yarns for similar yarns, based on availability.

Instructions are designed to be simple enough for a late-elementary student to follow. This kit is ideal for those learning to make a simple piece; it is not ideal for those who already have experience weaving or are looking to make an intricate piece.
