Barcelo Tenerife

We have stayed at several Barcelo hotels and are always very impressed with the whole experience. Cleanliness, service, food and entertainment are splendid. Staff are friendly, polite and very helpful and add to the holiday experience. We have recommended this hotel chain to many others and shall continue to do so.

My husband, my 12 year old son and I stayed in this hotel for a week towards the end of July. We loved it and can't fault our experience, lovely rooms, excellent food, drink and service. We wouldn't hesitate in returning.

4th visit to Sandos but it seems to have gone down. They are very short staffed and bar service was poor and only had one person on both day and evening at poolside bar. Restaurant certainly not 5 star as tables we not cleaned before putting on clean table cloths, bits of salt and crumbs on table. Certainly no longer 5 star.

Our 6th visit ! Says it all really. The best thing about Sandos is the staff, they work really hard but always have a smile and cheery hello. A couple of new additions to the food options which were welcome - lunch at the a la carte restaurant, all rice dishes, we went twice it was really excellent, both food and service, and the sangria was pretty good too - snack bar at the middle pool, burgers, pizza, chips etc made a nice change from the buffet restaurant.

The hotel staff in general were so friendly and helpful, particularly in assisting with assistance with the disabled member of our group. The staff in La Proa restaurant went above and beyond to look after us and we would like to thank Miriam, Dario and Ana for helping us to create very special memories for our group. They went above and beyond in making my wheelchair bound father very comfortable. Thank you!

Returned for the Hotel and golf. Once again, everything was well organised and our stay was as enjoyable as ever.. You can pretty much eat and drink whenever you want and quality remains as high as ever. During the week we stayed, a lunch time rice restaurant opened. It was excellent - a great addition to the facilities. Perhaps the only change that we noticed was a slight reduction in service during meal times - waiting for drinks service was significant at busy times. Finally, as before, the golf tee times were well organised and the free taxi service to the courses was great. Will return again!

The room was lovely and the grounds and pools really nice. The food was bland, lukewarm and the coffee awful. The staff were friendly. The bar area where entertainment was at night was not big enough. Drinks had to be paid for after 11.

We stayed at Sandos Blas 6-13 Feb 2019. The hotel was 4 * and was great in all aspects from the spacious room with large bathroom and large beds, to the fantastic range of wonderful food, and the on site bars and pools and helpful staff. It is not far from Tenerife South airport and has 2 villages a short walk away with shops, supermarket and bars for a change of scene. Its a quiet resort but plenty for an average couple staying here.

Just returned from this hotel after another lovely break. Very relaxed and chilled out. All staff are super helpful and friendly. Food and drinks are generous, of great quality and fantastic choice. I can't fault this place. Beautiful layout and outlook over Teide or the sea(and tiny man made beach😀). It is a fair walk from one end of the hotel to the other but there are lifts and ramps. Location of the hotel itself is ideal for the very short ten minute airport transfer! This is a proper chill out destination. There are 2 villages nearby, which are worth a visit, accessed by very rough steep paths which are not ideal for anyone who is not sure footed or for prams etc. You can easily get a taxi from reception. There is also a free bus from the hotel in to the very busy resort of Las Americas. All in this is a great hotel to get some relaxation and chill out time, highly recommended.

Impressive from the minute you arrive, the hotel is very large, well spread out and doesnt feel too busy but you may get lost on your first day. Choice of bars, lounge or pools/poolside space is plentiful. Freindly, very helpful staff. Very nice, large, clean and well equipped rooms. Buffet food is good but you can find better if you venture out for a meal the odd day and night. Good drink selection. Not much beach front around though. Would return one day

Fabulous place. Never been to Golf de Sur previously and it IS quiet but very relaxing. And relaxation was what we sought. My husband was just recovering from a sudden and extremely illness and I had been working flat out for six weeks to keep our business afloat during his demise. Sandos San Blas was heavenly to us, from the initial no hassle check in and discovery our room was located on the lake with a decking sun terrace, we began to relax and recuperate. The resort was quiet enough to de-stress but busy enough to be interesting. Restaurant food is plentiful, varied, hot, fresh with brilliant dining service. Loved the heated pool even though I swam in the Adult unheated pool. Really enjoyed the Kayaking and took part every day. Explored the Nature Reserve too. Evening entertainment was a little hit and miss but mostly pleasurable.Would we come here again - you bet!

My family and I spent 10 days here in October, it was amazing! I had been Two years ago and I am happy to say they have kept standards up! The staff in restaurant work extremely hard, non stop in fact. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, my daughter has a wheat allergy and they catered for her ,fresh bread, muffins in morning and there was always something she could eat. We stayed in two deluxe rooms, they were kept clean , by the wonderful cleaners. Again so friendly. The only thing I was disappointed about was perhaps the reception staff were not as helpful as they had been previously. But , other than that I have no complaints. I will definitely return to Sandos, I would recommend it. Something for everyone. The entertainment team are great, brilliant personalitys , they work hard to get people involved!
