Black Diamond Trail Pro Trekking Poles are very light and strong with soft, ergonomic grips and easy, fast and secure deployment and adjustment.
'FlickLock Pro' adjustability combined with 'SmashLock' quick release technology lets you quickly deploy the telescoping pole and lock it into place with a click. Firmly press the tip of the pole for a quick collapse. The harness-inspired straps give better security around the wrist and better handling when tackling steep terrain. Interchangeable carbide tech tips grip a variety of surfaces, and the ski-compatible ferrules will accept 100mm powder baskets for deep snow.

Very poor lower locking mechanism. Avoid
These were good for 12 months until the smashlock seized, meaning I couldn’t extend the poles. GoOutldoors nor Black Diamond would heldp at all, so I was left with a useless pair of £100 poles. Avoid

The poles are amazing, lightweight and easy to set up. I had a hiccup with one, when i opened the top section before the top. Quickly l resolved by my guide, who used to be a salmon kit salesperson. Once he explained how the locking mechanism worked, when it hapoened agaun, quickly resolved.
Great poles I have...
Great poles I have bad knees due to work life definitely helped ease the strain on my knees going uphill and down.
After 1 year, the mechanism malfunctioned on one pole. Within next year the other pole did the same and now has completely detached and can’t be used at all. Only got about 10 hillwalks out of them.
