Hesperia Bristol Playa

The apartments were large and the beds comfortable. It was in a great place, close to the sea and restaurants. This was our second time there and we will go back again.

This so called hotel was not fit for human habitation, to start with the receptionist was ill mannered and surly ,the sex show in the reception area caused undue embarrassment and that was not including having a minor in our family group

Having read previous reviews, we were concerned if it would be ok. Our room was ready on arrival, room 209 is located at the back of the complex and there was some road noise, but didnt disturb us. Being a winter break there wasn't any issues with sunbeds. Our apartment was a good size and had recently been decorated. Or only negative would be we had a double bed in the lounge area instead of a sofa. (it wasn't a sofa bed), we found it difficult to relax/ sit on as there was a large mirror above your head. The balcony was a good size. Rooms were cleaned twice over the 7 days. Great location on the seafront and 10 minute walk into town. Friendly helpful staff.

Unhelpful staff Have to fight for a lounger they get locked up first come first serve and you probably will never get one. I stayed for 11 night not once was my room cleaned Had the same towels for 10 days and had to buy supplies and cleaning stuff from the shop to have a clean apartment It is along way from the town I ordered a double room and arrived with two single beds went to reception they did nothing about it

Loved it here, great location,and fantastic staff who couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommended for couples of all ages and families .on site shop where you could pick up everything you need for a self catering holiday.

We stayed here before Covid. It is now a very low budget and standard accommodation. We arrived at 12 noon and were told there were no appointments ready. We eventually got one at 17.20. There is a double bed in the dining/lounge not a sofa bed so nowhere comfortable to sit. Only crockery for 3 people and the hot plate did not have any indication when it was on. The shower screen was corroded and dirty at the bottom. There is a telephone in the room but this doesn't work. Towels were frayed and very worn/threadbare. The only saving grace was the pool and pool bar. We spent more time out of the apartment than we would normally do. We reported all this to the Jet 2 rep.

Chose this accommodation as we wanted to visit the area and had previously stayed in a Hesperia resort in Lanzarote before and found it excellent, sadly this resort was nothing like. The apartments were Very basic and tired, The photos used by Jet2 certainly didn’t match our room. Horrid bed in the living room instead of a sofa, small kitchenette but not much in the way of utensils for self catering, 3 cups, 3 glasses, 3 plates 3 bowls, 1 bread knife a very small frying pan, a cooking pot and Colander. Was a 2 ring hob, travel kettle and toaster. We had a problem with ants in the kitchen, but told reception and it was sorted straight away. Bedroom had a safe and small wardrobe, beds were comfortable enough, it was cold a night even with blankets provided. Curtains had mildew on. Small balcony was nice with a great sea, was to cold to sit out most the time because of the wind which also howled thru the door at night. Bathroom was the best room, appeared to have been updated more recently, lovely shower however hot water didn’t last very long so we both had to rush a shower to allow enough for us both. Room cleaned once during stay and towels changed not an issue but did mean the bins around the resort filled up quickly. Pool area was nice, maybe not enough sun beds as people dragged them off around to the sand area, and workmen were busy outside painting and fixing bits and. Bobs. Very friendly In the on-site shop didn’t use any of the other facilities. Away from the Main Street it’s was a nice location, 5 min walk to the harbour and 5 to the town. All in all, it’s ok as a basic base but Wouldn’t return.

Excellent location, quiet area with easy access into the town. Pool and surrounding areas well maintained and spacious. Sadly this cannot be said about the rooms. Ours was tired and not cleaned very well, no air con (this is my fault for not checking when booking). All staff were helpful and friendly.

We just returned from this Hotel, the Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, the shower was great with lots of hot water, we only ate breakfast in and enjoyed meals out, the pool bar do excellent snacks at good prices and the staff are friendly and efficient. The whole complex is kept clean and tidy and all the staff work very hard. Short walk into the centre of town where there are very good restaurants,bars,cafes and small beaches. Lovely place to relax but plenty of activities to do if your inclined. We definitely recommend Hotel Bristol Playa.

If we wanted luxury hotel amenities and all the glitz of the central resort on the doorstep we would have chosen elsewhere. Walked past this hotel many times on previous visits so we knew it was in the local residential area and at no time day or night did we feel vulnerable while navigating local streets and shops and bars. Upgraded to a sea view appt on first floor and it was worth it. Not the hotels fault the sun didn't reach the balcony in January, the vista was superb and people watching was entertaining . Loved it.Appartment was bright and spacious if a bit dated. Kitchen area is abysmal. minimal everything.no tea towels or sink cloths and faulty appliances. Any food prep was a challenge. Got to agree with all the negative comments re self catering facilities. With a bit of effort the hotel could easily rectify this and improve customer satisfaction, definitely lets them down.All other areas were satisfactory, food at pool bar and breakfast was good, all staff seemed helpful and housekeeping was ok.Big bonuses for us was the good wifi throughout, decent coffee at breakfast, some uk tv channels , a comfortable bed and a well stocked supermarket on site. Been to higher rated hotels with none of these.Love corralejo and the island and really just use the hotel as a base so the lack of entertainment and amenities wasn't an issue for us, we just enjoy being there .

This hotel is to be avoided out of 7 night stay the water was off 5 of those days and all the manager did was lie first few times they said it was an outside problem that was a lie later they admitted it was an internal problem but they never knew how long it would be off for and the manager at the desk the one with the glasses I never got his name did not seem to care at all. Wi-Fi non existent the slowest I have ever witnessed so slow you would be home before it loaded. TV stations keep freezing that is the English ones. And then there is the ant problem crawling everywhere we could not sleep in the bedroom one night.

Very clean , staff friendly and helpful. Apartments newly decorated and very nice. About 15 mins walk to the harbour where there are lovely restaurants and cocktail bars. Further along there is a strip with all the usual shops and bars. Waikiki's on the little beach worth a visit. Bus stop or taxis near to hotel can take you to the sand dunes and gorgeous beach.
