The cards allow new vocabulary to be introduced or give them the names for things they see in their daily life. * Similar Matching Cards: take the idea of abstraction (objects can be represented with a picture) one step further. The picture does not need to look exactly like the object for it to represent it. These are realistic photographs printed the same size as the exact matching cards.

These cards are about 4" x 6" which allows them to be easily stored in organization bins (some with the matching objects!). They are color printed, corners rounded and protected in 10 mil laminate. This is about the thickness of an ID card. Trust me, I tested the cards in my classroom and it is much harder for toddlers to bend and crinkle AND easier to sanitize without falling apart.
