This stylish knitted waistcoat emulates a classic fabric version, but is made using a gorgeous, soft sportweight yarn. The textured front has false pockets and the pointed hem is made using short-row shaping. The back is plain, with a tie belt to adjust the fit.

The pattern gives instructions to fit sizes bust 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50) in / 81 (86, 91, 97, 102, 107, 112, 117, 122, 127) cm
The sample shown is knitted using John Arbon Yarnadelic Sport (3-5 x 100g skeins, depending on size)
Tension is 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm/4 in over st st using 3.25mm (US 3) needles
Please note: the garment has been designed so that the side seams fall towards the back of the body as in a fabric waistcoat. This means that the Front is wider than the Back, as can be seen in the photos. The schematic will show the garment when laid flat, with both Front and Back measurements added together, then divided in half.
